Worth the effort
Where to begin? I'll start at the end: The light fixture is up and looks AMAZING. Absolutely brings class to our bedroom. I love it.But here's the thing: It's really not difficult to put together. At all. The instructions are basically useless. Here's how to put this bad boi together:1) Lay everything out in front of you. Get an adjustable wrench, a phillips screw driver, some electric tape, a flashlight or head lamp, and you'll need to buy the light bulbs separately (go to a hardware store because normal grocery stores won't have them). Get 40 watt bulbs or less because there's 8 of them. I got 40 watt bulbs and it's not blinding but it is just bright enough. Perfect for a basement bedroom.2) Unscrew the little screws in the side of the base. Take the silver part out. Put that aside for later. DON'T LOSE THOSE LITTLE SCREWS.3) Take the arms (should be 8) and attach them into the base. The washer and the nut go on the underside of the fixture. Pull the wires through so they're all just a hot mess on the underside of the light fixture (the side that is going to go against the ceiling). The arms aren't labeled right. For mine, B and D were mixed up but otherwise, it went properly. Look at the picture and just kindof fiddle with it until you get them to look like the picture. Tighten those nuts with the adjustable wrench.4) Now take all your white wires (8) and twist them all, as well as the wire that comes with the fixture, together. This is a total of 9 wires twisted together (8 from the 8 arms, plus the one from the fixture). Put a cap on that, and wrap it with electric tape to be safe.5) Repeat step 4 with the black wires.6) Have a kid or a friend ready with a flashlight. Maybe a head lamp. Something. You're gonna need to see. CUT THE POWER TO WHEREVER YOU'RE GOING TO INSTALL THIS. Remove the old light fixture. Install the silver part into your ceiling, with the ceiling wires hanging down. There should be 3 ceiling wires: One black, one white, and one copper ground wire. Let those puppies just dangle till you're ready for them.7) Grab the silver part of the base from step 2, and screw it into the ceiling FIRMLY, with the wires dangling down.8) Twist white with white, black with black, and the copper ground that came with the light fixture with the copper ground dangling from the ceiling. You're gonna need a friend to hold the light fixture while you do this. Not a one person job.9) So now it's all wired into your ceiling, you screw those screws that you SO TOTALLY HAVEN'T LOST back into the sides of the base, which is what holds the whole shabang up onto the ceiling.10) Screw in bulbs. Put the power back on. Admire your beautiful light fixture.Total installation time: About a half hour.Difficulty level: Like 2 stars out of 5How much does this impress people? Easily 4 out of 5 stars.

Throw out the directions
This light looks awesome. We were looking for something unique and this cero is that. It's dual purpose as it's both a light source and a piece of art in our living room. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of the directions which are useless. As I started to assemble the light I realized that if I put each metal arm where they say to put them some of the bulbs would not fit as two arms in a couple of instances were too close together. It would have been infuriating to put it together as the directions said and then struggle to put it up (which is a chore because of all the wires) only to take it back down because a couple bulbs wouldn't fit. Spend some time dry fitting the arms so that you find a good spacing. Other than the directions I love this light.

The instructions are a dumpster fire
If you are an idiot stay away from this product as the installation instructions are not going to be in your favor! The light itself is ok just cheaply made. I would save your money and purchase a different product

Wonderful contemporary light
We recently purchased 3 Unitary Brand metal lights as Christmas gifts for our son's home. The townhouse he purchased a year ago had the standard builder grade type lights in his kitchen and dining area... They were boring and ugly. This light was for his dining area that had a bulk head for the ventilation near the area where the light would be mounted. We reconfigured the light by attaching the metal pipes to the light in a manner different than shown in the instructions. It turned out great and fit the space well without touching the ventilation bulk head. The light is now more asymmetrical than shown and worked well since the base where the light was to be mounted was off-center in the dining room and the bulk head was so close to the base. So glad we were able to do this...in fact we purchased 3 different unitary brand lights and reconfigured all three of them. His kitchen and dining area lights are now topics of conversation as opposed to the boring lights that used to be there. Great lights!!!

Good quality for the price, don't buy if you need instructions for assembly and installation!
Overall quality is pretty nice. I didn't see what other reviewers mentioned with cheap looking metal. It's definitely not a heavy metal or wrought iron, but you wouldn't want it to be, as it would be too much weight for a ceiling light. I've installed many lights, so didn't need the instructions, but for anyone who would need instructions...those included with this are horrible. The once step I looked to the instructions for help was the assembly of the various arms. There's a handy diagram and all the arms are labeled, but...the diagram is completely wrong. So, it was pretty much useless. I don't understand how that one basic piece of useful information could be incorrect. Also, the arms are labeled with lettered stickers that do not come off easily. Really annoying. It looks really nice once installed. We actually put two of them up in our downstairs media room.

Now that it is up I love it and everyone that walks into my home office ...
Now that it is up I love it and everyone that walks into my home office says its one of the coolest lights that they have seen. But when I opened the box, which is way smaller than I would have ever imagined, I almost sent it back since it comes in a ton of pieces. My contractor took one look and said, "that was not part of the deal, that's on you." To wire all the arms together (I think I had to grab a much bigger wire nut than came with it) is a pretty tricky endeavor, then to get it all shoved up in the housing and attached to the ceiling just brought the difficulty level to 10. Its been up about 6 months and I love it but for the price you would think it would be a little easier to assemble.

This one's not for beginners
It's a cool light, the price seems a bit much for the quality but what are ya gonna do. One of the light bars stripped out the threads before it was even tight so that's lame. Be sure you are aware of the position of the screw holes on the sides in relation to the position you want OR NEED the light to be fixed in your application BEFORE you begin assembly.
