Poor placement
I used this product with a ryzen 7 3rd gen 3700, so I can confirm it definitely works with 3rd gen.So this board has 4 slots for ssd's and hardrives, but note that two are most likely going to be covered by your gpu. I have a 2080 msi Duke, which granted is a massive card, but even a normal size card covers the the these two slots. Aswell the WiFi card slot will cover the first fan of your gpu if you have a big card, another thing to cover. Next negative, the m.2slot is right underneath the gpu! So I haven't used this type of ssd as my gpu is likely to lean on it and make it to hot. The board is one the smaller side, however other than the negatives stated it has a good bios and is easy to fit. It is a good board, it's just the m.2 slot and WiFi card slot is to close to the gpu slot in my opinion.

Good easy board.
Really nice board paired with a 3600 everything installed first time, xmp was a breeze setting my ram to 3200 and worked straight away one of the easiest builds I have done to be honest. Really good board for budget gaming system.I took a star off because the pcb is brown and not black like in the picture and as I set up a gaming pc with a tempered glass window you need the system to look nice to.

Very Poorly designed Motherboard!!!!
I would really like to send this back but cant be bothered to remove all the connections and get another. The issue is with the gap between the PCI-E 16 slot for the Graphics card and the other PCI-E X1 slots. This is sold as a gaming motherboard, so you would expect that they realise that Graphics card with fans fitted are quite thick, so much so that on this motherboard they will cover the PCI-E X1 slot.So this only left me with one expansion slot.Very poorly designed, and it was an MSI RX graphics card, so very poorly planned considering its their own brand graphic cards, you would think they would check it!!!!! It also does not leave much room on the back to fit the HDMI cable as it really tight against the chassis.Apart from that BIOS software etc was pretty good, and some good utilities. If you need the extra expansion slots and plan on fitting a large Graphics card then avoid this!!Not Happy at all, would be great if I could swap it for another MSI board.

Don’t expect too much.
Works as you want with a decent selection of ports. My only disappointment with this MB is that it doesn’t have a USB-C.I paired it with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb RAM, which was extremely easy to Overclock in the BIOS. Installation was easy and build quality looks sturdy. It’s only been in use for 3 months for me but it’s working pretty well so far.

Fantastic entry point with nice features too!
As a first time builder this motherboard offered a great entry point, well labelled ports, good layout, pre flashed to support newer Ryzen CPUs, 4 ram slots and even an m.2 slot for an nvme drive. MSI's ezdebug led indicator is a welcome addition in troubleshooting any issues that may pop up while building, great for anxious builders.I built this pc with Gaming, video editing and 3D modeling in mind and so far (about 4 months of usage) it has handled everything perfectly fine. There has been no issues, despite me accidentally jabbing the board itself when my screwdriver slipped trying to mount my CPU cooler. It should be noted however that there are only 2 case fan headers and so for builds requiring multiple case fans you will need to daisy chain them or use a fan hub/splitter. I personally used a sata powered fan hub controlled by pwm.Another thing to note for those seeking RGB is that while this board has an RGB header, it is non addressable. This board supports 12v 4 pin rgbs which limits your personalisation ability as there are not many lights that support this form. And finally, and this is a personal nitpick, the board itself is brown and not black as the pictures would make it seem. This really is no big deal as my case's glass side panel is slightly tinted and I have no RGB in my system (yet) and so it looks black. With some RGB lights it will hide the brown-ness too with some colours.A slight annoyance I find is that sometimes the motherboard would make a loud click when turning on or off which doesn't seem to have any root cause, there are no negative side effects of this and is a mild annoyance at most. While it would be nice if the RGB header was aRGB, had a few more fan headers and an additional m.2 slot would be nice, this motherboard has already offered more than most users would ever need and you'll be hard pressed to find such a capable and fleshed out board for the price.

Top Quality & lots of features
I used this board as a basis for a Ryzen 5 3600 rig, and was not disapointed. At this price point you will be hard pressed to find a better quality of board with as many features. Four RAM slots is a major attraction for a M-atx board, as is the numerous USB 3 ports. With the added bonus of a full over-clocking suite as standard in BIOS, with a simple 1-click overclock & stability testing system. My chip easily sits at over 4ghz stable for 24/7 operation.Only two "downsides"1.) As its an MSI board it has "mystic light" control which is 3 pin, and most contoller fans are 4 pin (so you need a converter or specific fans)2.) Bios updating is "old school" pre-windows flashing from USB. Would be better if there was dual boot bios with OS flashing software.Apart from that its one helluva good board, for both budget rigs and single graphics card gaming rigs. If your looking to save a few bucks this is definately a real option.

I Have A Few Of These Now - Great Product And Price
I got my first one of these MSI Motherboards in a pre built system.I've since bought 3 more and built systems for the whole family.MSI products are pretty good, this works a treat and the bios updates and driver updates are available constantly and quick. No problem over clocking AMD CPU and runs well with XMP settings. The bios is very easy to use and MSI gives you quite a few free pieces of software to twerk things easily.A great board and a real bargain.
