You Need And Extremely Small Screwdriver To Put The Batteries In
My 2 year old loves books. While I would love to be able to sit by her and read to her whenever she wants it just isn't possible. She is one of three ( the other two are 13 and 17 ) and both her father and I work. So there are some times when she needs to play by herself. This "book" is amazing. She quickly learned how to use the book and is able to follow along. She loves having the control to "read" to herself. The buttons press easily and we haven't had any issues with them reading the wrong stories and or stopping mid story. Overall it works as expected. The stories read at a speed which is easy to follow and the stories are adorable.

Read with Me style but simpler
I think the best way to describe this set is similar to the Read with Me sets. This version is simpler though. In the Read with Me books, the user has to select each page for it to be read. This one reads the book straight through. The little unit has a push button for each story. The buttons are easy to push and respond immediately. The user knows when to turn the page by a jingle sound that plays when it’s time. It’s a simple device and allows the user to follow along in the book. The books are thin board book styles. They are colorful with kid friendly images. The small books are sturdy and easy for kids to turn the pages. The stories are sweet and short but ideal for small children. The set is an enjoyable one and it would make a nice gift for a young book worm.

3 year old loves these
My 3 year old really enjoys this Growing Up Stories my first story reader set. All of the books are cute and written in a way that he can understand. There is more than just one voice as well, both male and female voices, which I really appreciate. The volume is not adjustable at all but it’s a good volume. It’s not loud or annoying, but he can still hear it outside. The books and reader are a good size for a toddler, small enough for them to easily hold them. The illustrations are cute and toddler appropriate as well. The only issue i have found is that they go pretty fast when reading the story. So my 3 year old has trouble keeping up sometimes with flipping the pages. He’s very independent and insists on doing this himself. And since there is no way to pause the store at all, there’s nothing that can be done about it. But overall I still really like this set, and so does my son. Plus it’s affordable! Definitely recommend!

We love these!
We love to read! My son also likes to be able to listen and be independent. These books are great and allow us to do both. There is a variety to choose from too. The "Everybody Pottys" is a little weird lol but it's the one my son seems to listen to the most. It also reminds him to pee! We have other sets like this and we love them all!

Entertaining
My almost 4 year old loves this book set. He calls the reader his "kindle" and likes to carry it around with him and take it to bed. The volume is decent, not too loud, not too quiet. He enjoys following along and turning the pages with the book. He does get upset though that he can't turn it off. Sometimes buttons get bumped and once the story starts, there is no stopping it.The books are small enough for him to carry around, and they feel quality, not cheap like the boardbooks you get at the dollar store.Batteries are not included, and it also requires a smaller than normal phillips screwdriver to open.

Cute and simple
Cute and simple. Works really well for small hands▶ Build Quality & DesignBooks are nice and think and easy for kids to flip threw the pages. On the front page there is a picture that is matched on the tablet to make it easy for kids to know which button to press. The tablet has nice and easy o use buttons. The speaker is fine at best but its facing down so you won't hear it clearly when it's facing down▶ Stories5 books and 1 sing a long. They are simple to understand cute and sort of educational. Level 1 will read them without issue though they are not the targeted audience...✅ Pros: Simple to use, Nice stories❌ Cons: Speaker placementOverall is a nice toy with a good variety of stories that small kids can operate by themselves. Babies will enjoy the tablet as well
