Doesn’t dim with lights so it a little bit bright

I wanted a modern Android Auto radio with navigation in my truck. With the floating adjustable display, this radio is just right.My RAM had a weird non-rectangular shape. It was mostly rectangular, but had strange half-circle cutouts in the dash for the volume and channel selection knobs. This radio with, special for RAM and Dodge, a Scosche CR1286B installation kit really looks nice!I got a CRUX wiring harness specifically for my RAM to complete the installation. Add to that some Wago inline connectors, and the job was pretty easy.Dislikes:1. The screen is a little too bright for night use, even at the lowest brightness adjustment. I might get some neutral color photographer's film to put over it, and hope that doesn't affect the touch screen. So far it isn't so bright that I want to return the radio.2. The microphone so far is very quiet, and people I call can barely hear me. I'll call Boss support about this one. But then talking to other people is a little overrated.3. Probably not a fault with the radio, but I can't find a wireless remote Steering Control System. With the volume adjustment knob on this radio so handy, I'm not sure I need to add a volume control to my steering wheel, but I'd like to try it.

I purchased this Boss radio to replace a radio in our motorhome. The sound of the radio is good however the Carplay has problems connecting. It is very glitchy connecting to IOS and streaming music and GPS. Once in a while it automatically starts working on it's own if I leave it connecting while driving all of a sudden the music and maps show up. We had a professional audio stereo business install it. We have tried connecting with 3 different iPhones to make sure it is not the phones, and the issue happens with the all the iPhone. This unit is faulty and may need to be returned to the manufacture or the seller. We will investigate our options.

overall in good quality and good value. The quality of backup camera can have better resolution and with warning sound if other vehicles or object is approaching or blocking the way. It is still a good buy for the money.

Nice bright screen! Fast responses, I like that the equalizer option comes up when you adjust the volume. The map when in Android Auto mode is awesome too, very great detail. Definitely recommend this to upgrade OEM!

I love this thing when it's working, but it's often crashing and restarting. Must have a cheap processor or operating system!

Amazing radio system and the car play works amazingly

Had this for a few months now first thing you should know is if you want this for Android Auto it will give you all sorts of problems and Boss audio does not have a fix for it. No firmware update will resolve the issue. If you use Apple Car play there hasn't been any problems there.
