A Fantastic Book
This is a fantastic book about Apache Kafka! It looks at Kafka from a very mature, architectural perspective and puts it in the context of an event-driven system. You will learn not only the tool itself, but also why it fits very well, how to set it up in an efficient way, and how to leverage its strength to do what you want. One of the best books out there indeed....

Best book on Kafak
The book focuses on architectural perspective instead dealing with a full set of features of Kafka. It teaches what Kafka is, what is structure and architecture, and what are common challenges of working with Kafka. I liked and recommend it.

An essential resource for Kafka maintainers and enthusiasts everywhere
Effective Kafka is an excellent compendium for engineers and business using Kafka or for beginners who are learning the concepts.I've worked with Kafka heavily in the past, and I was blown away by the sheer amount of knowledge that's been poured into the book. Since reading, my experience with debugging or understanding Kafka concepts, have switched from googling various Stack Overflow answers or trawling through Confluent articles, to only needing to look up the details in the book, as Emil can explain these complicated topics in a very detailed but easy to digest way.I believe this book is excellent for all Kafka developers. However for newcomers, with the depth and complexity of the framework, my recommendation would be to find a 'quick-start' guide to starting your journey into Kafka and use Emil's book to understand the deep, complex concepts behind what you're working with.Looking forward to more!

Hope to see more books from Emil
Author has a pleasingly precise and clear style of writing, and has thought hard about the structure of this book, making good decisions about when to explain detail and when to note that it is being deferred until later.Hopefully he'll get picked up by a better publisher. The book itself has some quality issues - no index, some page layout glitches and slightly dodgy print quality.
