Easy install for my 2008 Yamaha 150TLR outboard. Replaced both the throttle cable and the shifting cable. My shifter is a Yamaha 704 Remote Control. Great fit.

Same as teleflex. Both these cables and teleflex cables came with split rubber boots leading from the movable cable to the fixed portion of the cable.I’m repairing the split with shrink tube….These are $33, teleflex from the dealer were $130…..Same color, same everything….

I mistakenly ordered the wrong length of control cable. The short cables were easily returned and I ordered the correct length cables at the same time. The longer cables arrived quickly and are now installed on our pontoon boat. They work smoothly with little effort. Very pleased with how everything was handled and worked out.

I installed them on my 2006 Honda Bf40 horsepower and they fit perfect. I had read somewhere that someone asked if they would fit a Honda motor and they had said no, but they do in fact fit a Honda BF40 horsepower 2006. My Lund boat is 14 feet long and bought 8 foot long cable's and it's perfect!!! Now my throttle and shifter are smooth and easy to use!!!

I thought I was going crazy... I asked myself "what am I missing here?" I've replaced control cables numerous times in my life without issue and these made me second guess myself.I fish these through my rigging tube, get the ends adjusted close to the Yamaha 33C cable I just pulled off and they are nowhere close. No worries, I got my shop manual out to confirm the correct alignment location of the shift and throttle linkage and realize I'm over 1/2" away from where I need to be and my adjustments are already maxed out on both ends...I question myself, and confirm I'm not crazy and overlooking something after showing the situation to a couple of friends.I make the trip to West Marine and buy a pair of Teleflex cables. Compare the two and of course, there's the correct about of adjustment on the Teleflex set.The original Yamaha cables and Teleflex have the exact same amount of cable and adjustment to work with. These were nowhere close...The affordability was appealing to me, but like all things marine related, you get what you pay for.

Read part number on old cable, last two digits are the length. new one should be perfect replacement. I used old ends, matched threads on new to old that way same adjustment.
