I'm new to drones, and actually lost my first one. This drone was a little cheaper than that one but so far, i am really happy with the ease of flight. My other drone was nearly impossible to fly unless it was dead calm. This drone can fly in a fairly decent amount of wind. I like the auto takeoff feature and once i figured out the trim options, i was able to get it to fly up and hover until i was ready to take off. The camera is also pretty decent for such a cheap drone. It took a couple attempts though to figure out that you have to pair your phone and run the app in order for pictures and video to be taken. It will not take pictures without having the phone paired and the app started. Which isn't a big deal, but took some time to figure out. There are multiple speeds on the drone as well, and on top speed, it really flies! i never thought i'd use the flip feature but it was actually kind of fun to play with too. i'm easily able to flip the drone frontwards, backwards and sideways and it works perfectly. I would recommend flying outdoors without the blade guards. They very easily hang up on anything they touch. Trees, plants, weeds, or anything they can get tangled in they will! I haven't flown much inside, but now that i'm getting better at controlling it, i would't have much of an issue maneuvering it around the house. I purchased an extra battery pack that had 4 batteries and a charger so i can fly a really long time each session. I haven't timed it, but it flies for quite a while before needing a battery swap. i have noticed that when the battery dies, it just gently sets itself down, so you want to make sure that you're bringing it home before you run out of juice. Once it starts dropping, you can't do anything but watch it come down.i have almost no drone experience, but as a newbie to the whole drone thing, i would recommend this thing to anyone wanting to get into it on the cheap end. It's fun, fast, and does enough to keep you entertained for hours. Don't expect cell phone picture quality, but pictures are good enough to get you started. I have yet to get the home feature to work well. the drone comes back towards the controller, but mine stays up in the air at the current flight height. You still have to bring it down. maybe that's how it's designed, but i guess i expected it to return to the position it was in at takeoff. Overall, great drone for the price. Pretty happy I picked this one.

I did a lot of research on drones, and I've learned that we are in the 3rd generation of starter drones with what is available out there featurewise. It used to be that a camera, FPV (first person view), auto return, Headless option, and auto start were all for drones fetching above $250. Not anymore. With this baby you get most of the best features for less than $90-100.So I went to their site, and asked them what is the latest drone they have available and about their selection, and the live person chatted back with several model recommendations. I settled with this one. Holy Stone seems to be a company that resells different manufacture's drones. They just stand behind what they sell.I've had the HS200 for one month and flown it inside and outside the house. The drone had a minor issue, so I emailed them and one individual named Andy emailed me back within 10 hours and gave several solutions. They were very patient, and offered to give me a discount for extra batteries for this drone, which I ordered.Pluses-+ Headless option so that you don't have to orient yourself to the drone, it orients to you.+ Altitude stabilization-keeps the drone at the same elevation, making it easier to fly-this feature used to be in higher $200 models.+ Camera still/video option on a 4GB sdcard, or choice to record on your phone with an app the FPV perspective using WIFI+ Auto start/auto land+ External plug for charging battery so you don't have to remove the battery from the drone!+ 4 different speeds, which is really response rate+ Flips forward, backward and to each side for cool tricks+ Does not have to be registered with the FAA, since it is less than 1/2 a pound+ Backed by Holy Stone customer serviceNegatives-- very lightweight so be careful at different elevations for stronger winds- "Return to you" feature does not work totally. It is more like return in the same general direction.- Short battery life, 7-8 minutes- Propeller guides tend to break easier than other dronesLast words of advice: My advice to you is to test this drone out INSIDE at the lowest speed setting, and ensure that you can calibrate the left/right, forward/backward directions so that the drone will just AUTOHOVER within one spot. Work on control, play with camera, etc. THEN take it outside to where there are no trees or water, but don't go higher than 10 feet the first couple of times.Buy a recent drone from this company, they really do back up their products! They want your business and will treat you well. If you ever have issues, chat with them online or email.

I was initially very disappointed with this product. Had it less than 1 min in the air and pressed return home button only to have the drone start climbing higher and higher and flying in the opposite direction of me. I ran after it but lost sight. After over an hour of looking I am so discouraged with it. I did speak to customer service and the lady I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful. She said they would be emailing me a code to get a replacement drone. If this company backs their word and replaces their faulty product I will gladly increase my rating for great customer service.UPDATE: Holy Stone probably has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. They did hold up their end and replace the faulty drone. I have updated to 5 stars based on this and the fact that the replacement drone works GREAT!!

Great price, I wasn’t expecting much because of the price. After receiving it I was very surprised at how easy and fun it was to operate. The only drawback it takes an hour and half charge time to five minutes of flying.10/27/17I am amending my previous review, after receiving my 1st drone and flying it on a full battery it took off even after I hit the return home button. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement drone, I charged it fully and when I tried to fly it it would not lift off the ground. The company is now telling me the only they can do is send a replacement motor but after reading reviews people are saying it still will not work. The customer service for this company is great but the products are faulty and a waste of money. They will not give me a refund only a 30% discount on another product. Why would I do that when the first 2 drones I received were faulty. $90 down the drain😰
