Awesome Laser Light
Advent dinner at our church was wonderful with the addition of this product. It transformed a boring white cafeteria into a setting that was festive and fun. We used some creativity and mounted the device on a tripod and used it indoors. It's pricy compared to other so called laser lights, but this one is in a league by itself. Definitely worth the cost. I bought and tried out all of the laser light options on the retail market available in November 2016 and this was a clear winner. The lights and patterns are precise and have great resolution. The colors can be used individually or in combinations. Being able to change the speed of the movement is also an amazing feature. Its mesmerizing to watch! The materials used to construct this light make it feel substantive, well built and looks like a professional device (i.e. strong metal enclosure (not plastic), sturdy hinge). The convenience of the remote is wonderful advantage, too. Can't get remotes with any of the others that I tested. We had hoped to find a laser light that offered just white lights, but went ahead with this one. Again, this light is well worth the cost! We may buy another one or two for next year.

Inconsistent and Unsatisfactory
I bought three of these lights about a month ago and only recently installed them. I have found each performs differently and only one is satisfactory.First unit: Performs well. Lights are bright and the colors are very good. I have found it functions best if placed within a few feet of the object to be illuminated (in my case large saucer magnolia trees.)Second unit: The green lights are extremely small and dim. The other colors are blurred and fuzzy. Overall the perceived brightness of this unit is less than 50% of the first unit regardless of where they are directed.Third unit: This one appears to be entirely defective. While the pinpoints of light are present, there is a wash of green light covering the entire area which makes those pinpoints nearly impossible to see. From a short distance away it appears to be nothing more than a weak green spotlight. I have tried adjusting and changing the colors via the remote but all results are unsatisfactory. The units appear to be good quality and the packaging is nicely protective. It has been very disappointing to find such inconsistent quality. It is my intention to return the two defective units as soon as I can.

Excellent Customer Service and a quality product...
Let me start off by saying I had problems with this unit even though everything wound up fine in the end. It arrived in pristine condition, well packaged and on time. I set it up quickly and simply using the supplied instructions, and was happy to have purchased the additional (optional - at extra cost) extension cord available (starry laser lights SSL-CA4.5 Extend Cable, 2 Pin Heavy Duty Power Extend Cable for Star Projector). I set the device up outside and everything worked as advertised. Using the remote, I ran through all the color cycles (Red, Green, and Blue and all two and three color combinations of those colors) and familiarized myself with the speed and Flash controls. The timer controls are pretty self explanatory. I settled on a blue/green combination moving as slowly as possible (stationary is also an option) and set the timer for 6 hours. Checked in again at midnight and the unit had successfully turned itself off. The following night, however, the timer kicked the unit on at the same time as the previous evening, but all I saw was Blue.I ran through all the color advance options to check the various combinations. Red and Blue worked, but Green was gone. I was furious. I powered the unit off then on again. Unplugged it. Read through the tiny manual and scanned the internet. Most solutions boiled down to "Unplug it, replug it, resynch the remote and all should be well." Well... none of that worked. I also noticed that while the red laser was still firing, it seemed to be producing less light than it had before. And now I could see some Green, but it was tiny dots of light, barely visible, and did not show up at all on the house, only on an object held withing a few feet of the device.I contacted the seller, and was assured that if he could not help me fix it, he would be happy to replace it. We walked through all his suggestions (by email) which I had basically already attempted on my own using the suggestions found in the manual and on the internet. None of it resolved the problem.I contacted the seller again, and they were kind enough to provide me with a code which I could input while reordering a replacement unit from Amazon. Being as how the original had shipped (I believe) from China, the time to receive the unit upon reordering was going to get the unit to me well after Christmas. The whole idea had been to use this thing to "decorate" my home for Christmas. I emailed the seller again and asked if there was any way to get it to me faster. They responded that I could specify express shipping in my reorder ( at a cost of $50.00!!) and receive the item in 3 days.I was furious. I wrote back as calmly as I could, and said that I had purchased the original unit in October to ensure that they were in stock, and that I received mine in plenty of time. I explained that I was very grateful for the free replacement item code, and asked if there was any way they could specify the order for me, and add express shipping, as I was not willing to pay an additional $50.00 to receive a working version of the item I had already paid for, and which was not functioning properly. I was polite, but firm, and was responded to in kind. The seller said that ordinarily, they were unable to provide a method on a reorder to specify express shipping, but that they could ship directly and send it express on my behalf. Again, this is not the way their interaction with Amazon works, and they had to jump through a few extra hoops to make it happen. But happen, it did. After the flurry of emails back and forth, three days later I had my new unit. I have used it for several nights now, and it works perfectly. It is more than strong enough to cover the front AND the side of the house in a colorful display. The various timer options and color display options let me set it in different configurations to change the look up a little from night to night, or to set the display I want and forget it. Once the timer had been set the first night, the unit turned off at the interval I specified (you can set it for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours) and turned back on the following night at the time I had originally pressed the timer button on the remote. ALL the lasers work just fine on the replacement unit, and I have had no problems since receiving it.In short, the product appears pretty solid. It is all metal construction with a metal stake included for jamming into your front yard, and while I wouldn't hit it with anything, it's pretty solidly constructed. The stake is easy to attach and the frame and screw that are used for attachment are solid and made of reasonably decent metal. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy (but laser alignment is pretty delicate... again, don't hammer it into the ground or anything like that! Gentle pressure and soft, yielding earth are best for setting the stake - otherwise, I'd prop it up or zip-tie it to a pole or tree or something so as not to damage the delicate components) I have had it our in temperatures ranging from 51 degrees fahrenheit down to 12 degrees fahrenheit (I live in Northeast US. Winters here can get down to 0 degrees or below), and even got a little rain and snow and have seen no problems with the replacement unit. It's working like a champ. The seller was polite, responsive, and while they were reluctant to provide express shipping, it was clear to me that they are concerned with customer satisfaction, and that they stand behind their product. Ultimately, they were willing to ship the unit to me by express shipping, even though they ordinarily cannot do that. They always got back to me within one day (time differences from here to there being what they are) and ultimately, provided me with a solid working unit at no additional cost to myself, and with speed and efficiency.I would recommend this unit to folks looking for something solidly constructed that does what it says it does, and does it well, and I would recommend and commend the company selling them (Starry Laser Lights or Starry, Inc.) as a reliable seller and a company I would be happy to do business with again.

I love these BUT
They don't last, either the blue goes out or the green goes out. When you lose the green light...you have nothing worth looking at. Use in kids room after that because you have to put in close quarters to see any lights because beam to small on red and blue lights. The other one I got was green only AND it just died. Wish there was a way to fix because they are metal not plastic, VERY BRIGHT,compact and nice looking in garden like high end lights. To bad they just don't last.

Most beautiful light show. Bought my second because one is never enough. Beautiful!

It works good
The display head is well constructed and the display itself is beautiful. The only drawback that I have found is the length of the peg that holds the head. We have a lot of snow here and a 12” support is way to short so I have to somehow lengthen it.
