Top Trumps: Elements

Great educational card game
Covers 30 elements, with most of them in the first 40 elements of the periodic table. Even my 5 year old found it interesting! Would recommend for students when introducing them to chemistry.

Great For Kids
My kids received 2 packs of these cards for Christmas and they love them so much they have had me order 5 more packs.Perfect game for kids and they actually enjoy learning while playing. Even gets them to get off the video game.

Great game with lots of themes
My son who is 18 has many sets of these and loves them all. He started collecting them many years ago and still enjoys them. It was a fun birthday surprise.

Not all elements included
There are 118 elements known and named of which 81 are stable. There are only 30 cards. What did the other 51 - 88 elements do wrong? The writing is low contrast. The atomic number should be shown as aq suscript to the left and not a superscript. I would have expected better from the Ryal Society of Chemistry.

using games to teach kids :)
bought this for my older daughter to help with her chemistry, ended up playing with both kids, 11 and 13, they enjoyed it, but as with any game you have to keep playing with them, they'll get bored of you leave it to them.as such, this hasn;t been used since christmass, over a month ago.i'll get back on it, beacuse they did pick up little things whilst playing and the more you do that the more they'll pick up.in a nutshell, great for kids doing chemistry in highschool :)

Only some elements
Can't fault top trumps, disappointing that there aren't all elements. Probably wouldn't have bought it if I'd known it didn't include all of them. Does have a full periodic table on one of the cards though.

Bought for fun education
My 8 year old enjoys it and figuring out what the best element is - she says it's 'Osmimum' (Osmium) -which I'd never heard of before. It's fairly informative. If you enjoy top trumps games and you want to learn a bit more about elements you know little about, then why not give it a go. We've bought some chemistry books for further education which this helps reinforce some of that knowledge in a fun way.

Elements Trumps cards
I am disappointed because these cards are just in a cellophane wrapper, not the plastic box that TopTrumps usually are in as pictured. They are a birthday present for a child, so I haven’t opened them. So the cards themselves might be good. I’ll need to buy a storage pot now or they’ll probably get lost easily after the child plays with them.
