I play handheld on my Switch and absolutely hate my controllers! I was so excited when I found this product, it seemed to be the solution to all my problems! So far, it was super easy to install. Just slide your console in and go to settings to pair your device. The instructions were clear and concise. Overall it took me maybe 2 minutes from opening the package to playing with my new controls.It’s a little thicker then the normal joysticks so it is a slight adjustment to the grip, but the buttons are all in the same place as the original which is what I wanted. This works for the first generation of Switch! I was happy to see it even has a charging spot so you can continue to play and charge. I cannot comment on longevity just yet, but as of now this is a great purchase and I recommend it for anyone looking for a solid alternative to their joystick issues!

I’ve had this for a few weeks now, and I love it. The controller fits the Switch snug, so it doesn’t shift, and it’s much easier on the hands than using the joycons. It have no issues charging it with the controller on, while idle or while playing. The vibrations on it are a little much, but not a deterrent. It’s sturdy, but doesn’t feel too heavy while playing. And for the price, I have no complaints.

A good option to replace the OEM joy cons, especially for gamers with larger hands.The Switch console fits perfectly in place, and the felt material in the holster protects the back of the Switch from getting any scratches. The left joystick has a rubber grip while the replaceable options for the right joystick are all plastic, which feels a bit unnatural yet it's still playable. The holster doesn't interfere with the sound that comes from the rear speakers. The USB-C slot at the bottom of the console works well and without issue.The D pad isn't that great, it's a bit stiff. It isn't as light to the touch as the D buttons/D pads found on the OEM joycons/Switch Lite consoles. There are no programmable buttons in the back. When switching game cartridges, the holster gets in the way of the cartridge slot cover which makes switching games a bit trickier than it should be. While there is a good amount of vibration feedback, the feedback level isn't adjustable and can be a bit much when playing certain games.The accessory adds weight to the Switch, but the console feels solid and secure when in place. It also eliminates any stress on the joycon rails that can be caused when using regular joycons. Overall, despite a few cons this is a good accessory to have for your Switch.

Had issues with the separate controllers pairing an staying paired. Also younger son didn't understand the controls need to stay physically attached to the screen. This eliminated both issues.

So I first saw this on a lightening deal for a cheaper price, but I got side tracked and forgot to buy it. I ended up buying it for full price. Completely worth it. No joycon drift. Easy to hold and protective. Worth every penny.

Read a lot of the reviews before buying this device. I would refer to the more elaborate ones. I bought this for my son because the left joycons kept disconnecting all the time. I had hoped that since this one is like a cable connection, it would not pose the problem. And I was right!! It works fine. Had it for two weeks now without any problem.The left stick was drifting a bit at first, but it calibrated after a while. As stated in other reviews the right stick could have been better placed, but since my son doesn't play FPS games we can manage with it as is. Besides that, so far so good. We are able to charge the console while using the controller without issue. overall a great buy. Will update my review in few months

JUST DO IT. this is perfect it has great foam shock absorbant for the switch, so when my son literally drops his swqitch 4 plus times a day it has protected it and the best part is that now the joy cons can be kept safe waiting to be used in a family setting! so its a case, and controller! i couldnt be happier with it and when my son distroys it im running back here for another.

Not worth the overall 4 star review. It doesn’t stay paired with the console and it’s a hit and miss on getting it to pair again.Example: first time, i paired it following the instructions sent with the controller. Worked fine.Took a break for 15minutes, had to turn the switch on again. Controller would not work. Tried repairing to no avail. I disconnected and reconnected the switch, turned it off and on, closed the game, went through the pairing steps, searched for input… in the end Idk how I got it to work again.Played about half the time it took to get the controller to work. Went to bed, worked as expected next use - woke the console, pressed the triggers and button three times, played the game.Now i’m trying to use it again and it’s back to nothing will connect the controller for use.I bought this to replace a switch left joy con that drifts and won’t move downwards. Working around that is less aggravating than keeping this controller connected. At least then I could play my games.
