For the money there are better hive kits out there and if you live on the mainland of the USA then take advantage of those offerings. We don’t have the luxury of free shipping to Hawaii so when a Beehive comes up with Prime shipping, you take it.This kit is made in China, which is fine as so many products are already and ultimately Bees aren’t super fussy anyway.The paint job on these hives is pretty awesome, the bottom board had a huge gap in it, I know the bees will fill it with propolis but it was really off.This is just my initial impression upon opening the box. I will update once the hive is put together but first thing I saw was that wonky bottom board.Pics with update

I have bought two of these hives in the last 8 months. I put one hive in the bee yard approximately one month ago and the bottom board has separated and coming apart. Yesterday I put the second hive out in the bee yard and hopping they make it through the first season. I’m really disappointed in your product not even lasting one month before separating.

I had a brood box with a swarm in it which had been living there for six months before I constructed another brood box and a super. I put the super on the brood box and was able to take a little bit of comb loaded with honey; it was the best stuff I ever tasted. I took it to church and everybody tried it.
