Not that bad to inflate.
The two tires I bought came as many said, packed with strapping tape. Some here are complaining about how hard it is to seat these on the rims or even mount them...I didn't find that to be the case with the one's I received. They went on very easy. As a matter of fact they went on easy putting the entire thing, (both sides of the tire), on the wheel at once. One benefit of having them squished. If you leave them out in the sun for a few hours they seat right up using a wide ratcheting strap. Just make sure that you remove the stems valve so you can get maximum pressure quickly into the tire. This seats the bead quickly and also let you release the air quickly to remove the strap. We shall see how good these hold air over time, but so far so good.

You really have to work to get the beads to seat
Once mounted these may very well be 5 star tires. From the internet videos it did not appear that it is necessary to absolutely crush the tire with a ratchet strap to get the beads to seat. But that is exactly what I had to do. The key was to put thick cardboard under the mated hooks and under the ratchet to spread the force out then tighten the clamps literally as tight as possible. The low rating is strictly for the amount of trouble I had getting the beads to seat. I even had to go to my local NAPA to purchase a normally open inflator connector that did not have the check valve in it. One of the tires appeared to have bead damage but it seated and stayed seated while I reinstalled the valve core and inflated it. The other tire did not have any bead damage but the beads would unseat before I could get the valve core reinstalled. So of course I finally reinstalled the valve core while the air was still escaping and the beads were still seated.I live in a very dry area. The water soap mixture evaporates very, very fast. I tried tire silicone instead. It doesn't evaporate and it is very slick. Of the above tires the one I had the most trouble with was the one I tried the soap and water lube. The tire silicone simply works better in a low humidity environment. The one "trick" I discovered in getting this tire on the rim was to put on a knee pad then get down on the ground and use my knee to hold the tire in place while getting the second side over the rim. No, a knee pad is not necessary but for those of us who have never done this before it helps because it protects your knee so well.

LOOK AT THIS GREAT TIRE BUT LISTEN TO HOW TO MOUNT IT
LOOK AT THIS GREAT TIRE BUT LISTEN TO HOW TO MOUNT IT!!!!!!!! Take out the valve stem. Look on you tube to see how; they simply screw out. Put the tire on the rim and take two ratchet straps and do the old tighten the tire on the rim trick (you tube). When you remove the valve stem it allows a lot of air to enter the tire. But you need a pretty descent compressor. If you dont listen to me you will be sorry. After the bead sets, put the valve stem back in and air up. Oh yeah, when you add air to the tire without the valve stem, do not use the regular air chuck. Take the air chuck off and place the straight air into the valve stem. Or you can use a blower with a small tip to add air. i just took the head off the air chuck and used the straight air coming out from the connector. Just let the air compressor build up and add the air to the tire.

Excellent tires for my John Deere lawn tractor
First, Yes they are shipped compressed. I laid mine out in the sun (90* day) and they were easier to mount and seat on the rim. Go but the Harbor Freight Mini-Tire Changer. Made it pretty easy to remove the old tires and mount the new ones. Just use plenty of soapy water so they slide on.Use a ratchet strap to help it seat the bead if necessary.

Great tires at a great price.
So far, I am very pleased with this set of tires.I mounted these myself on the front of a JD X304. While I highly recommend the tires, I can't say I recommend hand mounting them without a tire mounting system. I used most of my vast curse word knowledge during this install. It would be nice if these came packaged in a box, rather than just taped up but after leaving mine in the sun and working them over onto the rim, they were nearly where I wanted them. I used the some ether and a lighter to inflate, as the strap trick didn't work. (If you use this method, please watch an instructional video, and be safe!) For the price, I can forgive the poor packaging. All in all, I'm stoked to have two good tires that aren't leaking. I will update if there are any issues!

Good Tires... But...
Good tires. Read some of the previous reviews, and saw they didn't come with rims, and to get inner tubes, as the "tubeless" part of the tire didn't work to great, so I bought some inner tubes nd kept the old rims, and that worked fine. Like I said, great tires, but the shipping quality leaves something to be desired. The tires were taped together with a shipping label stuck on the front. Not necessarily what I had in mind for packaging. Buy inner tubes. You'll need them, because the "tubeless" doesn't work. Takes a while to figure out how to get them on right, so be ready to spend a couple hours on them.
