Well, the answer is that can be both. I got 3 sets of these.. Two are used for outdoor lighting to light up my back porch and the path from the porch along my garden to the parking spaces. The other is set up for the walkway from the front yard to side door. All are on steady with differing brightnesses. When company comes, I can use the different modes if I wish.

Lights work great. I bought multiple strands, they can be controlled separately or strung together. I did have one set stop working, 5 months after purchase and after contacting their support team, they asked for a few pics or a video of the problem, asked some simple troubleshooting questions, and sent a new set out to me at no cost. Customer service is outstanding. They stand behind their products!

I actually got these to serve as a ceiling light for my bedroom and now I have no need for any other lights! The dimming feature is great late at night and it works great with my Google Home. I just wish the cables were white to match my ceiling but I'd 100% recommend them.

These were very simple to install and look great!The only con side we see is the actual connector box and switch are not weatherproof. In our situation this defeats the purpose as we need to disconnect the actual connection and switch every time since it can get wet as there is no roof or way to protect it other wise.Apart from that the setup in the app was very easy and I was able to link it to home assistant as well.

Tons of light at 100% brightness and amazing ambience at 1%. They work great as a main light source in my mancave

Initial use was great. I loved that they were shatter proof and hooked up to Alexa but it was alot of work to put them up and they are not working after 3 months. We have tried everything to get them to work.

We have purchased these sets of lights (96FT) twice. We were hoping when the first set stopped working randomly, so we purchased another set. We purchased the new set in October of 2023, as of last night they stopped working again. Yes we have tried other outlets to ensure.We loved the lights while they worked with ease, but looking for a product with a little more longevity
