Buyer beware, THIS IS THE RIGHT SETUP!
I purchased a different style from another manufacturer. It had a typical GM style to Ford adapter that didn’t reach the oil pump drive rod, nearly destroying my fresh engine. I was impatient and didn’t order from this vender due a couple of extra days for shipping. Obviously saved no time with the inferior product. This is the correct set up for a Ford 302 HEI conversion. Worked well right of the box. Made with decent materials and tolerances.

Correct affordable part for my fox body block.
Replaced broken Mallory billet that came with the car. Runs like a champ. Kinda odd seeing HEI off the front of a Ford, but since I can’t see through the hood and it cost a fraction of a new Mallory I’m pretty happy about it. Runs like a top

Works as it should and looks better than the blue one I had.
Received in a timely manner. No issues getting it installed and car started right up. Engine is a 302 out of 1987 Ford Mustang (carb converted and sitting in a 1966 Mustang).Original order: Was sent the wrong item which was for a six cylinder instead of the V8. Asked for a return which was granted and reordered the same part which showed up correctly this time. Great customer service though I couldn’t reach out to them directly.

product is good but doesnt give information on obstructions it causes due to its larger size compared to the original distributor. it signifacantly causes rotation problems when trying to set timing due to the fact that it hits the heater hose fittings ad duel feed carbeurator bowls . it wont alow a full rotation because the electrical plug in the cap hits the bowl and only allows a quarter rotation. so a precise tooth line up when its droped in must be close to where the finished timing should be or very close as to allow a small rotation compensation to set timing. also a large low profile air filter cannot be used for hood clearance as it hits the top of the distributor so a small diameter air filter must be used or you must have clearance for a flush mount tall one unlike me in a 67 mustang where hood clearance is minimal. or an offset base airfilter bottom must be used. but the distributor itself is good but has alot of compensations to overcome from the stock diameter one.

Works great
Photos show red unit installed on a 1983 Ford Bronco with a 302 with one showing the stock unit for comparison. I installed it, set the timing at -10, gave it 12v and it started right up. Awesome solution to the worn old duraspark setup. As for the swap, it was tough. This unit is massive and tall and does not physically fit where the stocker does. I had to reshape the fuel line, add a 2” spacer to lift the air cleaner, use relays to combine ‘start’ and ‘run’ power, and may have to eliminate the on-carb fuel filter. All well worth it in the end but you will have to solve fitment challenges so be prepared for added expenses.

Worked great, for about 15 mins
Distributor lost magnetization therefore it’s useless, I had high hopes based off reviews, and the fact that it started immediately. Then after setting idle and fuel pressure on truck backed down driveway and not 30 ft away it died. Turned over great, tested coil - passed, replaced the Ignition control module as part of testing - nothing, additional testing revealed it’s the magnet. They don’t make a replacement have to change brands to put it in, AND the magnet cost more to replace than I paid for the distributor. Not happy and will not recommend A-team distributor.
