They never wear out and have always been reliable. Recently, when I needed a personal laptop, I went back to Dell instead of my usual Apple. Dell just seems to work better with MS products. The one annoying feature about the Dell is that is comes with all sorts of MS software that I don't need, but can't figure out how to delete, as many have no options, while others do.

More cheaply made electronics that aren't worth the cost of the cardboard box it came in.The touch mouse pad is barely functional at best, and completely non-functional quite often. It invariably begins to lag or only respond after an ever-increasing delay before it stops working entirely and I am forced to hard reboot the machine to get control over the mouse pad again.This isn't a hard life for a laptop either. I don't travel with it and it doesn't see rough use. I can't imagine this thing would last a week in the hands of someone that asked any more of it than YouTube videos and facebook. It's not loaded down with games or apps- it is literally used as a glorified tablet. And I have had better functionality from tablets and 10 year old laptops.For web browsing and YouTube binging it's adequate- until you can't control the mouse again. But beyond that I think I've had watches with stronger processing power.I will give it good marks for battery life. It does last quite a long time on battery even while streaming videos.Second good mark I give it is that it has a decent antenna. It stays connected to my wifi at a respectable distance from the signal box. It's bluetooth connects easily and is stable.Beyond that, I am unimpressed with it as a computer (I have a cheaper tablet that is better in virtually every way) and the worthless mouse pad makes me want to throw it out a window.

This laptop has been working great for me. Using this as a college student. On the bigger side but does fit into my backpack. Keeps a good charge for days and works efficiently.

well, i got this with amazon as opposed to dell directly, or best buy. that being said, i got a two year warranty and microsoft included for a good price, and still had more money left from my tax refund. so, that's good news. still, it's slower then i thought, but i got a good price because i got the older drive with 16gb.

I received this Dell on April 1st and I’m already seeing red flags. My previous laptop, a Lenovo, never gave me issues like this. I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to get this thing started for the last 20 minutes. It’s ridiculous for a new computer to be so unreliable. I’ll never buy another Dell again. This one is being shipped back.

I bought this laptop because I really don't need anything fancy AT ALL! It was just supposed to be for my kids when they needed to do homework, and for me to use to search a few things on the internet and check my email.... THATS IT! It was RIDICULOUS! I seriously timed it just to prove my point, and from the time I turned it on to the time it was ready to actually use it took 15 MINUTES!! Now I am not one of these young kids who think if things don't happen in a blink of an eye, it is slow and I get mad. I grew up with dial up and so I am used to sitting and waiting on a computer. But this was worse than that. It would never fully load, when I typed on it, it wouldn't keep up, and it was always just turning off. Then to turn it back on, well that was quite the process that sometimes wouldn't happen that day. I am not techy in the least, I just want a computer to turn on, let me search a few things, and let my kids search a few things. I didn't think I asked that much. This computer didn't agree with me. So if you have the patience of JOB, this laptop just may be for you. If not, don't waste your time.
