My Protector (Bewitched And Bewildered Book 2)

I love reading and paranormal romance is a favourite of mine. I know that ratings matter to authors but I find it hard to put into words exactly how a book makes me feel, but for this series I will try.Meryn is the hero of the books, she is a human, speaks geek, a hacker, anti-social but loveable. Aiden is a warrior, a bear shifter. Their love is amazing.Each book concentrates on a new mating but all of the books are intertwined and the characters are brilliant - I love them all. They are loving, funny, sexy, caring, snarly, crazy and I'll say it again, loveable.It is primarily MF romance but there are a couple of MM but they are so sweet they make you want to hug them, laugh and cry with them.Every time a new book comes out I re-read the series and buy them each and every time. I do read a lot of books on KU but there are some that are keepers and these books are it.I'm going to cut and paste this review to each of the books as I hate repeating myself in a review and I'm only going to say the exact thing for each of the books.Read them, you won't be disappointed.

I just can't see what all the hype is about- I just find this story irritating. The first book had a quirky, heroine, and a group of 'men' who seem to find her fascinating. Guess what, so does this book! Everything seems over the top for this author, who seems to find herself very funny. The jokes all felt flat and I just could not care about any of the characters.If you are looking for a good escapist read, with strong hero who are shifters, vampires, dragons and faes' there are much better writers out there.

In this book we discover alit more about Gavriel and the alpha unit. Meryn continues to cause mayhem and disruption and she now has a new friend to help her. Enter the klutzy bunny stage left. Beth is lovely and a perfect counterpart to the handsome Gavriel.Again this book was well written, a good back story was established to help show how the characters have come together and how fate intervened. I am so looking forward to the next mate turning up and causing more havoc

This second book is the story of Elizabeth & Gavriel.Like the first book the meeting & start of the relationship is very fast. It still doesn’t sit well with me but once that is established the rest of the storyline unfolds bringing back all the characters we know. I enjoy this way of a series continuing & it just develops all the characters plus introduces some great new ones.

I love the second mate who is introduced in this series and that we get different POVs. Meryn still has a big part to play in this book, and I think she has a much bigger role in the whole series than we can imagine, but this book is mostly about Gavriel and his mate Elizabeth. Again, I've re read this book several times. I really never could get bored of them. My favourite scenes in this book are the trips the guys make to the Duck Inn, I swear you try and read those and not burst out laughing so hard you're trying not to pee yourself! These books are a must read and you really need to read them all in order to not miss anything out, this author is a master of story building!

We continue the story of the unit warriors. The spell to find their mates is in full force. Fate has intervened yet again and sent Elizabeth on the road to Gaviel and as soon as they meet they no they are ment to be as one. Yet again this book kept me captivated from the start. I love the we still hear about Aiden and Meryn. The trips to the shop have you laughing. I would highly recommend this series to anyone. It's light and funny and draws you right into the story. Yet another 5 star read from me because it kept me interested and would definitely read it again 💖

Gavriel is the most amazing vampire I’ve ever read about. He is so powerful and yet his mate is Beth, an accident prone bunny shifter. She has fabulous skills too in organisation and they make a perfect pair . They continue the battle against the ferals along with Meryn and the others. A superb series that gets better and better.

I have just binge read all 8 books of the 'Bewitched and Bewildered' series by Alanea Alder. It's an amazing series & I can't wait for book 9 in August 😁. Each book tends to focus on individual couples within their paranormal cities that are secret to most humans. The other main characters within the stories are written within most of the following books. Every single story flows so well, but you should read in order so you understand the storyline. I've laughed so hard I've cried at times & other times I've cried as it's sad. Very well written. Thank you Alanea 😍!
