It’s important to understand that this canvas bag will not protect controlled substances from addicts. It can easily be cut open. The lock on the zipper will keep your meds safe from children. I was unable to open the zipper from the locked position. I didn’t try pliers or anything, but I’m not dealing with drug seekers. I’m just trying to keep meds safe from small children. This bag does that job well.

I put things in it to have it locked up and not so easy to get into. Nice bags. I wished they had some bigger in sized

None of these pill bags or boxes will be very effective at keeping your meds safe from theft. It took me three seconds to pick the lock on this bag, but you won’t find anything better. And if some is able to just steal your bag/box, it doesn’t take much to just cut it/break it open.The only thing it can help with is keeping people out of your pills that don’t know how to break in, or don’t want you to notice. If you’re dealing with friends or family who are addicts, this is hardly a deterrent. It will likely keep young kids out of your meds though, if that’s all you’re looking for.Also, in case you’re wondering, the combo locks aren’t any better. They are very easy to decide. Not only that, but the best I’ve seen are 3 digit locks, which gives a possible 1,000 combinations. That doesn’t take too long for a determined addict to brute force until they find the right combo.I’ve seen on box that lets you use your own lock. The box however was so flimsy all it took was a flathead screwdriver to pop it open.So out of everything out there, this is the best I’ve seen so far, and is easier to carry around than a box. It also helps concerned friends/family members by giving them a false sense of security.

We love this item for medications since we have a toddler. Works like a charm. Great size too.
