A fantastic follow-up to the first book!
I enjoyed "Anxiety Panicking About Panic" so much and it was so helpful that I was very excited to read this book and very pleased to find it just as helpful. Joshua Fletcher has a way of explaining things in a way that really makes sense and seems to say just the right things. I started highlighting parts that I really related to and realized I was basically highlighting everything! I'm very thankful for these books!

Great Book with solid information to help you
Great book! I suffer from anxiety, panic, and depression. This book has great things to try to get you going down the right path. The author has two books and I have both. The books do repeat something’s I find them both very helpful. I have asked my wife to read them so she is aware of the tools and techniques to help me too.

Both of his books are a must read.
Very informative and easy to follow. Can't wait to see other books by this author. I wish the Panic Room was close to home.

A Remedy for Mental Mushrooming
I once had a summer job in Chicago selling books door-to-door. Our rather cultish Tennesseean employers created a unique vocabulary to help make sense of the experience. Getting the cops called on us was called The Blue Light Award, a zero-sales day was called a Character-Building Day. The process of over-analysing negative feelings until they got the better of us was known as Mental Mushrooming. This is a natural reaction to stress and there are ways to discipline oneself to prevent these things getting out of hand. “Practical about Panic” by Greater Manchester-based therapist Josh Fletcher is a handy and concise guide to combatting patterns of thinking and behaviour that may cause anxiety to blight your life.Fletcher gives a guide to ‘rewire our brains’ to change our actions and reactions in certain situations and thus form healthier habits. In doing so, he explains complex concepts like neuropathways in accessible ways.Last year, at the relatively late age of 34, I had my first anxiety attack. This year, to pre-empt further problems, I started visiting a therapist, in spite of psychiatric problems still being a largely taboo subject. Nowadays, ‘fat-shaming’ is considered unacceptable, while mental health remains something that can prevent people from getting on in society.Really, to state that only the mentally ill should seek psychiatric help is like saying only unfit people should exercise, or only uninformed people should read. Fletcher’s work has a considerable place in the body of writing that is helping to break this stigma.

Meaningful solutions without pretence
The key success of this book is in the title. Its a practical approach to dealing with my anxiety. Forget the faux preachings of the Instagram con artists, this book is the real deal. A real approach from someone who obviously understands anxiety at both a professional and personal level. I recommend Joshua's books to everyone I meet who suffers with anxiety as his help has genuinely changed my life, and I and that of many others. Read it now and don't waste any more time.

A fantastic follow-up that offers practical advice about anxiety
It's great to see a book covering this difficult topic that actually focuses on practical ways you can support yourself (or those around you) in the struggle against anxiety and panic disorder. Having benefited from Fletcher's last book and having bought it for friends and family, this is another really reader-friendly and practical guide that I would definitely recommend for you or your loved ones.

best person to follow, always a good read
This guy is a legend, he’s been there, overcome it and teaches the world what to do, explains it exactly how it happens, and his practises actually work.
