I bought this recently to give my brother as a gift who loved this game when we were kids. It is the same game and super fun

I have a 6 year old who likes to play (with a little help) and a 12 year old who loves it. I absolutely love to watch the process they use. If you have someone who needs to improve their problem solving skills this is perfect, and still fun.

Great game to have on hand. Still fun as an adult.

I used to love Mastermind, hadn’t played it in years, so bought a reasonably priced one to introduce to my older son and grandchildren. I love strategy and word games.

Fun game for two people all process of elimination so pretty easy to play.

I learned to play Mastermind when i was an kid, and now at almost 60, I can use it to teach my grandkids critical thinking skills, while still keeping my own critical thinking skills sharp! If you've never played, it works like this... it is a game for two players. In the original MastermInd game there are six colors of code pegs and two colors of key pegs. One person, the code maker, sets up a code of four pegs behind a shield. It can be any combination of colors, including duplicates (after you play for a while, leaving blank peg holes will help make it a bit more challenging!). The other player, the code breaker, starts at the far end of the board and try's guessing the code. For each row the player guesses, the code maker gives them a key peg for each right color they have guessed. The code maker will give a black key peg for a right color peg in the right place, and a white key peg for the right color but the wrong place. No peg is given for wrong colors altogether, or for duplicates not accounted for in the guess. The player guessing has a dozen chances to break the code.A version of this game has been around for hundreds of years, and it is still a great way to teach deduction and scientific reasoning.There are new versions of the game in brighter colors and with an updated board style. I bought this traditional style because that is what I learned on and still love to play!This game arrived brand new, exactly as i remember it, and I would buy it from them again. If you've never played Mastermind, give it a try!

My issue with this game is they don't give you enough of the scoring pegs for many outcomes. I literally had to contact the company pay to get more pegs. Really not usable if you don't have enough scoring pegs. This is not this sellers problem it is the company that makes the game. The game arrived the way it should, in good shape.
