When we saw the reviews many have said that the chandelier is too bright, but when it's on at night, this chandelier isn't as bright as we expected. It's great to have a specific round table, for example, to be well lit, while the rest of the room is lit dimly. The light is most prevalent downwards and upwards.In terms of design, it's super sleek and modern, I love it! My wife doesn't like the halo shadow effect it gives when the lights are on, but I still find this an added bonus. The chandelier is 'very' light, thanks to the LED. Definitely easy to install and superb!

I like this- puts out plenty of light. Minimalist style. My favorite thing about it is the ability to adjust the height of the light with the wires.

This bulb colors are warm white but it’s to warm so the color when lite is on is very orange

I'm not an electrician, but it was straight forward to install myself once I Googled how the colors and symbols of the different wires aligned with what was already in my ceiling. The fixture's "height" is easy to adjust by just pulling the suspending wires through the base. While the bulb is on the inside of the loop, it still brightens the entire room with a light that isn't harsh and looks great against the black metallic finish.

Bought this for my minimalistic living room. I was able to install on my own though I’d recommend having a second person holding the lamp in place when wiring to the ceiling. The adjustable cables took a bit of getting used to but I was able to raise and lower without issue.The light is beautiful! Clean lines, modern, just what I was after. It’s very bright but I have it on a dimmer switch, which I’d recommend. The light is somewhat soft at full power, but turns more into a hospital-tone fluorescent when dimmed. As my living room is small and I merely needed ambient lighting, the light looks best 50% dimmed. Unfortunately, it’s too bright white/fluorescent-looking for my taste so I will be returning. If this doesn’t bother you, though, I’d say it’s a good purchase.

I absolutely love this light but I had to return it. It had one inherent feature that I just couldn’t get past... When the light is installed and there’s not a lot of other ambient light, there’s a big dark shadow around the entire room. Which makes sense because all the light is emitted from inside the ring of this light. We put it in our dining room during the day on a bright, sunny day so we didn’t notice it immediately. When it started to get darker and we were reliant on just this chandelier for a light source, we noticed the significant shadow cast all the way around the room, midway up the wall, right at the line of the artwork. We immediately took it back down and up up our old light. The installation and removal was super easy. So bummed. Will definitely look for another Jonathan Y light with a better understanding of how the fixture will affect the light cast around the room.

Goodbye hideous ceiling fan! Hello sleek and perfect light! Just wish the 15in was less expensive so I could get those for my other bedrooms rooms! Hint hint...
