As expected, cheaper than the parallels online renewal
already had product, but needed to renew, and this was cheaper than online renewal.a physical product in my opinion should not be cheaper than digital.

Not user friendly
I'm a long time Mac user who needed to run a program in Windows 11. So I ordered the latest version of parallels which I had used for many years before. It seems even more confusing now than I did back then and set me up to download a $200 version of Windows 11. By the time I got done, I had spent enough money to buy a Windows laptop and still had a program that wouldn't run. However, on the positive side, when I contacted both parallels and windows sellers, they gave me my money back without question. I think it's important to note that since other people have complained that once this happened, they didn't get their money back. I congratulate them for that.

Discontinued/Obsolete and shutting down notice coming by end of year, no updates in 18months
What you need to knowParallels for ChromeOS makes it possible to run Windows apps on Chromebooks through a full virtual desktop. No major updates have shipped to Parallels for ChromeOS in around 18 months, and the entire project is reportedly set to be discontinued.Google purchased Cameyo recently, which makes it possible to run Windows apps on Chromebooks through Virtual App Delivery, which does not require a full virtual Windows desktop.Parallels for ChromeOS appears to be on the way to the graveyard. A report by Chrome Unboxed claims that Parallels for ChromeOS will be shut down and that customers will receive official word before the end of the year. The source of that leak explained to Chrome Unboxed that Parallels for Chromebook has been largely neglected for quite some time. There hasn't been a major update to Parallels for ChromeOS in around 18 months. Even that update was relatively small, as it focused on improving performance on budget-friendly Intel and AMD chipsets. Google and Parallels worked together to bring virtual Windows desktops to Chromebooks in 2020, but that experiment appears to be over.

Corel is a terrible company. No integrity, BEWARE!
When I took the offer of $49.95 annual renewals FOR LIFE, the owners of Parallels honored their commitment. But when Corel bought the company about 5 years later things changed and they began unilaterally raising the price, so now it's about 50% higher than they agreed. My renewal history shows that this is all true. So since they began the price increases, each year I've complained and they have promised to correct the problem. But this was just gaslighting and they never made any correction or refunded any of the overcharges. In fact, a representative if the company on their Knowledge Base confirmed in 2019 that they would continue to honor the lifetime $49.95 renewals for life as promised but they haven't done do. This renewal they didn't (again), and again I complained, but they did not respond at all this time and just sent me the standard email to see if I was satisfied. No I wasn't, and I resent my original email and documentation to them again. I did this 3 times, one for each of their emails. So you can guess what they did. Just closed the case without ever having responded to the issue. 5 stars for the product, but one or none for the current owners; Corel. The product works as advertised, (though won't support any of the Legacy Mac VM's prior to Mac OS13 on Apple Silicon, which removes much of the reason for needing it). But the company is dead to me for its complete lack of integrity in honoring the commitment that was made originally.

Great if you like adware!
The functionality is fine - a bit glitchy at times, but I get to run my windows applications on my Mac, so it gets the job done. However, this application has a number of popups (within the application itself) that market Corel and third party software (see attached image). There is also no way to turn these popups off (per their own KB article). It just feels invasive in addition to being highly annoying. I feel like if I am paying for an annual subscription, you could at least not annoy me with ads within your software platform. It really makes an otherwise ok product seem trashy. This is supposed to be a professional product - not a free online poker app.
