College daughter is using them and found them to be a great study tool

I was interested in these cards because I know nothing about the periodic table, I love learning new things, and I love using flashcards to learn. The cards are nicely constructed, sturdy but not too thick, and just the right size to be useful: not too large and not too small. The 144 cards are divided into groups: 14 blue-edged cards that appear to be terms related to a general understanding of the periodic table, 9 green-edged cards that appear to be about the various types (or categories? classes?) of elements, and 121 red-edged cards, one for each of the 118 elements, and an additional three at the front of this group that explain how to read the element cards (helpful to someone like me who is brand new to the periodic table). I especially liked that in addition to the basic details about each element, the atomic number, symbol, weight, density, melting point, etc., each element card also has a sentence or two with additional information about the element: how it's used, or where it's found, and so on. As I am not trying to memorize information just to pass a test, but trying to really learn a subject in a meaningful way, these descriptive sentences are of particular interest to me. My only criticism with the cards is that I found a few minor typographical errors in some of the text: for example, on the card for Gold (atomic number 79) the text says ".... it can also used as an electrical conductor...." when it should say ".... it can also BE used as an electrical conductor..." and at least one place where the sentence structure is a bit awkward. Yes, I get it, they are scientists, not writers. Nevertheless, they should have a copy editor on staff.

The periodic table is the most difficult thing for most people to learn and remember. These flash cards a big help.! They make learning it fun. Most of us learned the alphabet and numbers with flash cards. Now we can learn the periodic table with flash cards. In a group, you can quiz each other. This is another tool for your learning box. Love it!

The cards are not durable. The corners are pointed so they get dog ears. I hoped they would by like playing cards. I'm disappointed.

These Periodic Table flash cards are VERY helpful for learning the Periodic Table. Each card has all the important information about each element. The flash cards make it super easy to learn and remember all about the Periodic Table of Elements.

I love these flash cards. They contain all the information needed on each element right on the card. They are easy to organize so you can study each group of elements.

Upon receiving these cards in the mail, my high schooler immediately started using them along with me. We love the more compact size, which makes it easy to study anywhere!
