I used it as parts
This review is for those who are having problems with their key fob not those who plan to program and cut the included key. I had my original key fobs but both were messing up. I could just rest my finger on the fob without pushing the buttons or very often while the fob was in my pocket it would come in contact with my pants and unlock my truck and even roll my windows down. As long as I was in range it was quite often doing these things. I don’t live in the safest of neighborhoods so a unlocked truck and especially one that’s windows are down would at least be robbed and not long would it have been stolen. So I had a serious issue. That being said I bought this fob to rob parts from it to fix this problem. It was perfect for this purpose. I kept the hard case of my old because it said dodge on the back of it and this one does not. I kept my computer board from my old replacing the touch sensor cups with the ones from this case which was the problem with my old computer board in my fob. This fob has the cups on a sticker so I was able to peel off the new board and apply on my old one with ease. I used the new rubber touch part from this fob and presto. Brand new fob in my old case which nicely says Dodge. For this purpose this is the fob to get without a doubt. I have no idea about programming this fob to the truck but I will say it is almost identical to my factory fob from dodge. I’m buying another to fix my second fob as it is doing the same thing as the one I fixed. Must be a thing for these fobs as both mine eventually started messing up. Highly recommended to fix old fobs

Be sure to order the correct FOB, look at circuit board inside hefore ordering.
Works as good as original key fob before they quit lock/unlocking the doors. There are many Dodge key fobs that look the same but are not the same inside. Those that say these can't be programmed at their Dodge dealerships either bought the wrong one (didn't open the unit and look at the circuit board # before ordering) or the dealer doesn't want to program a non-OEM FOB. I had mine programmed at a local hardware store for $25. So $30 for a working FOB compared to $300 from Dodge. BTW, both of my OEM Dodge fobs died in 6 years. My GM FOB still working after 18 years.

Used to swap chip (board) from Original FOB Dodge Journey 2010
Initially I was hoping to do the 2-key programming trick but it didn't work on my 2010 Dodge Journey. I ended up swapping the original chips into these FOBs; this required peeling off the tape that held the metal platters on the sensor off the new chips, and tapping them back onto the original ones. Put the old chips on the new FOB body (I tried keeping the original backing with the Dodge logo but it would not close) and all buttons work fine. I was able to turn on the car, but the keys seem a bit loose in the ignition. Also, I'm using the original key (the insert key to manually unlock the door) and it also seems to just barely stay in place. For now I'd say this is good enough due to the fact that all features are working in this replacement.

Worked for our 2016 Grand Caravan
These are great! I was unsure they would work for my van because we have a 2016 Grand Caravan and that was outside the year range listed. But my husband is a locksmith and we compared part numbers, hoped it would work and figured we couldn't beat the price to give it a shot since we both needed new fobs. Took a little extra effort on his part figuring out the programming since we only had one original fob left but he got it working and we are both really pleased! Great deal!!

Left stranded in 14 degree weather
Don't waste your money on these, they need less than one star rating. Purchased them in September for my 2010 Ram 2500 Laramie diesel and the locksmith had no issue programming them and cutting the blank key. They worked okayish, having to push the buttons multiple times to get a response from the truck, until yesterday. Went out of town with my 3 and 7 year old, stopped for fuel and food and when we came back out the fob would not unlock the door, 14 degree weather nonetheless. I used the little key to manually unlock but when I tried to start the truck the EVIC gave a "key not programmed" message and would not even attempt to crank the motor. Five hours from home, it cost us a hotel room, 2 Uber rides, lunch, dinner and breakfast and a day and a half of my wife missing work to bring us a spare key fob so we could turn around and drive home.If you take the risk on these you better carry an OEM backup key fob!

Decent Key
My only issue is that after a month I had to start pressing the buttons very hard in order for the door to lock or unlock. I think the key in general is a good key and works the way its supposed to (start the car and turn off the car)

These work exactly like the original!
I bought these replacement keys after mine were lost. I took them to my Dodge dealer to have programmed. The dealer also cut the door keys for me. The cost to do that was exactly $52.00. The dealer said they do up to six keys for that cost. You may want to ask your dealer what their policy is. If I'd have known that they did that and that these keys work just like the originals, I'd have had more sets made. I'm happy with this purchase.

Works great!
We were able to find a local locksmith who programmed this key fob for a reasonable price! It works great as our backup key fob since our vehicle only came with one original. We had ordered one before and it lasted 7 years so well worth the money!
