21315 Giraffe 180 Degree Extension Kit

Don't bother buying this if you haven't already bought the WAGIC 21316 Giraffe Sure Grip Light Bulb Changing System extension pole. You have to use this extension with the manufacturer's pole, otherwise it's useless and a waste of your money. Also the WAGIC 21316 Giraffe Sure Grip Light Bulb Changing System extension pole is not sold by Amazon anymore nor anywhere else (not even the manufacturer website), so you'll need to find another solution for changing your hard-to-reach bulbs. You can't use a different extension pole, like the one with the threads commonly found in brooms, painter's pole, etc. If you look at the product's picture, this extension piece screws into the mechanized WAGIC 21316 pole which has a special end AND the threaded part. What a waste, the manufacturer should at least sell it on their website if it can't be found anywhere else. Amazon suggests that you buy this kit with an extension pole with the threads (Mr. LongArm 6624), but if you search the reviews for that product, you won't find any mentions of "Wagic" or "Giraffe 180." Would buy again! Will acknowledge that I'm annoyed that the extension was not included with the main device; nor was it completely apparent to me that I needed to buy the extension for my goal. But it's a remarkable device, so I will give the company a break. The extension facilitates a u-shaped or upside-down v-shape. This allowed me to changed 11 chandelier bulbs (unscrew old ones and replace with dimmable LED bulbs to work with my Lutron Caseta smart dimmers). Honestly, I was in very deep, expensive trouble without this device... and my wife / in-laws... weren't impressed with my rush to smart light switches, unless I could deliver. Initially, however, I forgot that I needed dimmable LED bulbs in every light... including this ridiculously high stairway chandelier. Get the picture... I'm talking scaffolding without this device... What impressed me most was the suction. It took a few tries to get the nuances, but the machine gives one strong suction to "suck" the bulb securely... then every 3 seconds it seems to give another suck... to ensure the bulb remains secure. When you're ready, a button click releases the pressure and suction breaks. As for the screwing / unscrewing... it worked flawlessly. Couple last thoughts... the main device had a remote with a battery installed.. the battery was corroded and I threw it out. The main device requires three square batteries. Perhaps my main device was return. But the extension works fine and so did the main device. Truly, a wonderful device!

Thid product is very misleading. The picture and packaging make you think your getting everything in on packaging but you actually need other attachments to go with it and the two peices done even fit each other without the missing piece. Just not a good product.

The batteries that came with it were low so I changed them out with new batteries. The motor spun with more rpms' and had much more torque. This item must have sat on the shelf for some time and they were a lessor brand. This is a great product for the intended use. I used it on my chandelier above the stairs going to the second floor. Afraid of heights so using a ladder etc was not an option. The lights bulbs required about a 9' extension. Once I got the hang of how the operation worked, the changing of the light bulbs was easy.

I was super excited thinking I could finally change the high hanging light bulbs myself but was disappointed as this product did not deliver and was a complete waste of time. Initially the motor was spinning and working but shortly after it failed to work correctly, and even when it was "working" I could not get it to suction the bulb I was trying to remove. Just maybe it was user error, but i would NOT recommend this product.
