AudioQuestCoaxial Cable 0.75m Male 75ohm Carbon Black

I have a VSB-1 cable that AQ tech support was fairly similar to the Cinnamon and I should go to at least the Carbon. I haven't ever appreciated much from any type of cable but like to buy moderately priced AQ for the aesthetics. This cable has really shocked me. It is really amazing how much better by streamed hi res music sounds now. I have a fairly high-end system with a Schiit Gungnier Multibit DAC with Audio Research preamp and amp. Now I wonder about the Coffee but dang, that is more than the Bluesound Node2i was! I think I will enjoy this for now :)

It sounds pretty bright, less warm than a pair of Mackenzie’s analog, however, not sure if it was just this cable but the connectors seem pretty cheap... they don’t grab on to the preamp or source well at all, couple of times I found there was no sound and looking behind the unit the cable was out. Didn’t have this problem at all with Mackenzie’s or even golden gate /evergreens which are significantly cheaper. Not with 217, lack of workmanship there or worse a knockoff?

Excellent upgrade from the audioquest Cinnamon digital cable. I’m getting more music, deeper soundstage and resolution.

SPDIF connection from my CD transport to my DAC. Clean and crisp without coloration.

Great sound improvement

These are excellent cables and improve sound connection between Sonos Connect and Mytek Brooklyn.

Its a nice looking cable but looks dont equate to Audio Quality. Its a simple Shielded Coaxial Cable.Meaning its a solid copper core no strands . Its resistance is 75ohm for digital signal.If the look of this cable is appealing and you want to spend the unnecessary money go ahead.Digital Coaxial shouldn't cost more than about 1.25 a foot - a buck a foot.This is for less than 3 feet , there are other manufacturers that sell 1 meter of quality cable for 7 bucks...I cant in good faith recommend and test across other cheaper brands showed no significant increase in quality.

I have a very good reason for giving this cable a bad review. For one thing it's too short, but I don't doubt that it is an upgrade from other cables. Right now I would highly advise checking out one of the greatest available deals on cables that I've personally seen. That would be the Audioquest Silver Extreme available only from HCM Audio, sold on Amazon, and the HCM website. Also look up the discussions on digital coax cables having better performance if they are at least 1.5m. I have replaced my Forest Digital Coax with the Silver Extreme and it was a nice improvement in clarity and soundstage. This improvement was smaller than the difference these cables make as analog interconnects of course.

I used that amazing coax for CD TransportAnd I get max balance sound and incredible low and mid not like before.

At least within my system a sufficient audible difference to justify the purchase. As always try these things in your system and your room and most importantly your ears before you decide on parting with your money.

Kabel war im Karton in einer Plastiktüte, die Enden mit Geflecht Schlauch geschützt. Die Hartschale wie sonst hat gefehlt. Ein Pin war leicht krumm und die Stecker halten nicht stramm in den Buchsen wie sonst bei Audioquest. Von den Materialien her gesehen könnte es original sein. Ich bin echt sauer auf Amazon.Nach mehreren Stunden Einspielzeit bin ich mit der Klangverbesserung im Vergleich zum Cinamon zufrieden.

Ich war eher skeptisch, wie soll ein Stück Draht etwas verändern? Die Skepsis war völlig unbegründet!Das Digitalkabel von Audioquest überzeugte nach den ersten Takten. Stimmen standen nun vor der Musik, Details die vorher erahnbar waren sind wie selbstverständlich in der Musik, überhaupt die Selbstverständlichkeit mit der die Musik wiedergegeben wurde hat mich sehr beeindruckt.Allerdings sind ca. 200 Euro kein Pappenstiel aber das Kabel ist jeden Cent wert. Wer jetzt aber glaubt er könnte seine Brüllwürfel vom Blödmarkt damit pimpen wird wohl enttäuscht werden. Die Musikmaschine muss schon in der Lage sein die Fähigkeiten des Kabels wieder zu geben.
