Wonderful bag, but too thick for summer use
We were looking for a lightweight sleeping sack for use in summer and therefore got this bag in the 1.0 TOG. We love Grobags and have found them to be our favorite sleep sack for our child after trying 3 or 4 other brands. They're very soft and cozy, they don't have awkward or uncomfortable seams, the two snaps at the shoulders hold the shoulders in place and help us slip our child into the sack when it gets cold overnight, and the side zip is more comfortable for a stomach sleeper while still being comfortable for side sleepers. The size has worked for us from about 9 months to over 18 months. They have held up to hundreds of washings over years of use with zippers, snaps and seams all still working very well and only mild fading of the fabric. This one appeared to be of the same high quality and comfort. However, despite the temperature recommendations on the Gro website for 1.0 TOG, we found this bag was much too hot for an air conditioned house in summer in the Mid Atlantic region. We keep our house at 76-78 degrees and use a light quilt on our own bed, but this bag was too hot for our child even wearing only a t-shirt underneath. We went with a 0.5 TOG bag (different company) for summer use. The only 0.5 TOG bag that Gro makes is a travel bag that we didn't like at all (much rougher fabric, loud and scratchy velcro). If you're looking for a cozy bag for three-season use (spring, fall, and winter with warm PJs underneath), this bag in a 1.0 TOG is a great choice.

Prevents unwanted zipper issues
We had been using the Halo sleepsacks for our baby's first nine months and they did a great job. At some point however our baby discovered the zipper and would rub it against his face (bridge of the nose), regularly leaving unpleasant looking scratches. Overall, I do appreciate Halo's generally well-thought design (for example, they are the only ones I have seen who use an eyeless zipper pull - you can google why but it is unpleasant as it involves a baby's tooth), and this is likely something that would not affect every or even most babies. We thus began a search for a new sleepsack that would have a cover for the zipper. We tried several other options but finally discovered the Grobags. The Grobags have a few different styles. We have this one which zips on the side and has the shoulder snaps. We also have a front zip Grobag (which has a button cover for the zipper). We prefer this one for three reasons: i) the side zipper goes under the arm, making it very difficult for baby to reach, ii) front zippers allow the baby to chew on the zipper teeth, iii) the button shoulder snaps make it easier to put a struggling baby into, as opposed to trying to force his arms through holes when he doesn't want them to.As for the TOG choice, we keep our baby in a basic footed cotton pajamas and put this over that. We have his nursery temperature between 70-72 degrees, and TOG 1 is great for that environment. This bag has worked great for the past 3 months. Unfortunately, our little one is getting close to outgrowing this and the Gro Company does not seem to sell the larger size in the U.S., although it is possible to buy it through international suppliers via ebay.

Year-round coziness & cute design
I bought this Sleepy Circus grobag in 6-18m, 1.0tog, to replace the smaller Aliens grobag my little one was about to outgrow. I like that it has the side/bottom zipper instead of a front/center zipper. The design is cute and gender neutral (I plan to save it for future kids). My 6 month old is 27.5 inches and handles the extra length of this bag well, though he likes to grab the bottom and pull it up to his mouth to chew on it. The only downside for me was that I was expecting the thickness to be a little more lofty/airy like the Aliens bag, but instead the fabric is a little more condensed like a light sweatshirt. Regardless, it's cozy and my little one sleeps well in it, and I don't have to worry about loose blankets. Would buy again and would recommend it over other sleepsacks (I have other brands that have gone virtually unused in favor of the grobag). Just make sure you get the right tog - I like the 1.0 because my little one can wear a long-sleeve cotton sleeper under it and we can keep the room at 68 degrees (not too expensive to maintain that temp whether in winter it summer).

Easy in, easy out!
It is really the best sleepsack so far after going through 4 different brands. My baby sleeps so well in it.I love the easy in and out features like the snap buttons on top and the side zipper that goes all the way to the bottom of the bag. The material is just cotton jersey so it's quite comfortable for my baby girl and she kicks a lot so it helps that nothing gets caught to her little toes. The bag is quite roomy right now but I think it is a little short for my baby who is only turning 4 months. I can see that there may be one more month and it will be tight for her if she stretches all the way out. She doesn't even need to poppers at the armpits. I wish I had used it earlier and get more mileage out of it because of the price. But I think it is totally a great bag and I'm going to order the next size in 2.5 tog. Hopefully it won't be too hot.

Love the snaps and the side zipper
Love the snaps and the side zipper! So much more useful than similar sleep sacks! The material is very soft. I ordered the level 1 and think it may still be a bit warm for what we need (we live in FL, but do run the AC pretty low).

Worth the money, save on your heating bill
LOVE this. This is for our third child and I wish we had discovered it for our first. I was concerned it wouldn't be warm enough but it is toasty. We keep our house cool, about 62 at night. We live in Minnesota, so the winters get cold. I put my 10 month old in fleece footy pajamas and this and his little fingers stay warm the whole night through. Although this is spendy, in the past we've used a space heater and I'm sure we spent more on electricity just to keep his room warm. And then you have the added problem of low humidity, so this is better.
