The wood is Linden-wood and is termite resistant .

Q: Does the 20-inch height include the pendulum or the weights, or just top-to-bottom of the wooden clock facade?

The 20-inch height is only the body and fascia of the clock, it does not include the pendulum or the weights. The pendulum extends another 4 1/2 inches below the decorative fascia and the weights 5 1/2 feet below when the chain is either fully raised or fully extended.
