Smurfs #10: The Return of the Smurfette, The

assez drôle. Écriture un peu petit, mais pour des passionnés cela passe. Gagnerait à être éditée en BD avec couverture cartonnée.

The Return Of The Smurfette is a collection of both one-page sketches and a few stories from various European Smurf comic books. In the comic books, Smurfette was more of a visitor to the village after she was created and then remade into a real Smurf by Papa Smurf, so her visits are rather special to the male Smurfs. Here on one of her visits, she was thinking of marrying a Smurf, and all the Smurfs are eager to be her Mr. Right...which also includes Papa Smurf! (This has been the fuel for a lot of unsavory thoughts and images regarding the two characters!) The Smurfs all compete for her affections by trying to fulfill her desires, but in the end she decides to forego the thought of marriage and leave, which makes them all unhappy as if they've gone through all that trouble for nothing, until Papa Smurf makes them realize that their lives can't stop there and that she will return someday.As for the additional stories included, "The Smurf Garden" has the Smurfs dealing with a Garden Of Delights that turns into a trap set up by Gargamel to capture the Smurfs; "The Handy Smurf" has Handy going Tim Taylor crazy with a new power driller that he uses to drill everything he can get his hands on; and "Halloween" is when the Smurflings do a little trick-or-treating out in the forest when they run into a witch who goes after them for stealing her apples.Overall, with the exception of Grouchy's comments being translated as "me, I don't likes" that ruin the spirit of the character as normally interpreted in English, this comic book collection is worthy of being part of a Smurf fan's collection.
