This is the perfect solution for monitors that do not have integrated speakers like computer monitors for example. It extracts audio without adding any audio or video lag. This device was tested thoroughly by RetroRGB. The coaxial output provides perfect signal extraction and its analog DAC output is very respectable being analyzed through MD Fourier.I have computer LCD displays that do not have integrated speakers. The majority do not have speakers unless its a high end display or an All-In-One PC. I have my modern game consoles connected to an HDMI switch connected to this DAC, extracting the audio out thorough the analog jack into a Bluetooth transmitter board I rigged into it. This device is meant to be connected wired to powered speakers like a Bluetooth speaker or an amp. This DAC does not have Bluetooth, I modified mine so that I could do so.For the money, its suits my needs. If a Bluetooth revision of this DAC becomes available, I would buy again, you should by this regardless even its non Bluetooth.

I got 2 of these because my upgraded cable boxes only have hdmi outs. I needed to send the audio via tosolink to my older amplifiers. The first one wouldn't send the 4k signal to my projector. Useless! The second one upstairs wouldn't send the audio signal through to my stereo. What a crap product. Don't buy these for any reason.

I'm using an Onkyo TX-NR777 receiver's zone 2 output to feed my S.M.S.L headphone amplifier. The zone 2 output can be fed by coaxial or optical but not by HDMI. Professional reviews on this product stated that the coaxial digital output was bit perfect so I figured this is exactly what I need. I can plug my fire stick into it and get the highest resolution 24bit/192khz from Amazon music.Well, the fire stick freezes about every 10 secs when connected to this device. I switched HDMI cables and used the same power supply with the same ground for the fire stick and this unit but nothing solved this problem.I ended up using the second HDMI out on the receiver to feed this unit and then take the coaxial and feed it into the second zone. The only problem with this setup is I used to be able to put the receiver in standby and still listen to zone 2, through the television optical out which down converts everything to 24-bit 48khz. The way it is set up now I have to leave the receiver on in order to get the coaxial output.I read in a previous review that this unit did work with Fire sticks so I'm wondering if I have a defective unit. It does pass Dolby vision 4k which is a wonderful thing if it didn't stutter.

Does what it says; nothing more or less.

Works great 2 outputs 1 to a monitor and the other to a projector and one to a sound bar for sound. Great work i tried 3 other products that had a flaw either the sound or both displays didn't work at the same time. Very happy with this product.

Bought this to strip HDCP(High Definition Copy Protect) off a signal. Now I can capture PS3 content with my capture card with zero lag added or any distortions in color. Now I can record my play through of Resistance 3. Couldn't be happier.
