Disappointing
Was disappointed with the print quality of this calendar which certainly did not show the images off to their best. Dull, matt sort of finish. Would not purchase again. Note there is no place to comment on delivery advised by email just a few hours before - we don't all have the internet on all the time! Delivery had been given as today, 18th. The package was not handed to the customer as noted but left in the porch following a knock - it took me a while to realise coincided with the delivery of my package. Disproportionately large cardboard package - 55 cm x 35 cm x 5.7 deep for calendar 30x27 cm

Poor print job, lacks finesse
A couple of pages have some significant blemishes, resembling that of a poor photocopy job. Luckily, most of the calendar is fine, although I do notice that the pages are also varying shades of white (some whiter, some a little yellowish). I’m not sure if this is part of the antique theme, but really, it’s antique maps, not antique calendars. The product lacks finesse.

Gently presented beautiful calendar
We’ve a soft spot for Japanese art and have some pieces around our house already, so the idea that next year’s calendar will be Japanese art was very welcome in this house. The presentation is very nice. Instead of the glossy, plastic look of some photo calendars, this one has a more paper-like feel which feels very fitting to the artwork it displays. It’s thick paper, almost card, that takes ink well when you write appointments on it.The artwork isn’t the most high-contrast by its very nature, but the treatment of the colours is very respectful and works well. Red is such an important colour in these pieces and the red looks radiant- not overly bright or showy, but warm and detailed. The haikus are an interesting affair. Personally I find haikus hit-and-miss, some of them beautiful, some of them not as intensely packed with meaning as other people seem to find them. As well as a couple of fairly floral ones, such as January’s, there are some which have a somewhat bleaker feel (such as May’s or September’s). If you’re expecting some cat poster motivational poetry to get you going every morning, this isn’t necessarily it.It’s described as a 16 month calendar, but the first four months are just calendar grids on an otherwise plain double page- really rather dull and not a replacement for any 2021 calendar you’re already using, which is just as well since it spans from September 2021, and as I write this it’s already November. Ignore the other 4 advertised months- this is a 12 month calendar. This is a great choice of calendar for 2022, simple and not too extravagant but a very pretty thing to have by our fridge.

Classic Japanese Art
I love the artwork on this calendar which is what originally caught my eye. I do like the classic style and colour of the pictures as well as the other details that have been included. The calendar is a good size and there is space to make a note of appointment times in the boxes. Space for birthdays, anniversaries or other dates that need to be remembered as well. The pages have a nice glossy feel to them and once the calendar is finished with the pictures could be framed or used for other craft projects. They have a very nice quality to them.I really like this calendar, it is ideal for everyday use as well as looking really nice. I would happily recommend it.
