Google Pixel XL Case, SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Series Premium Hybrid Protective Clear Case for Google Pixel XL 5.5 inch 2016 Release (Blue)

Lengthy review, skip to the PROs and CONs if you're looking for a quick review.Hey, I actually like this case a lot. I have ran through other cases such as the:1. Spigen Neo hybrid2. Spigen Slim Armor3. Google Pixel Official Clear Case4. Evolutive Lab's Rhinoshield Crash Guard Bumper Caseand this one is the one I'm planning on rocking. It's pretty solid case. It fits and it feels amazing to hold in the hands. It's light durable and simple design is extremely enjoyable. The TPU around the case allows for better grip and comfortable feeling. It's slightly lifted from the front and back to allow your phone to not be physically touching the surface. The corners of the case may appear a bit flat but I've been able to find it quite useful. I use it to elevate my phone up on both ends using my pinky, kinda like a similar shelving method except for the corners.The clear backing is legit. It looks super clear and allows my phone to show off the two tone + G logo which was what I was looking for. The shape of the case is pretty much squarish? But I've grown to like it. It really makes my phone look like the ICE CREAM BAR it is!FYI: the case problem is not as tightly fitted as the other cases I've used; Particles, dust, debris, hair, and tiny other stuff could get inside the case fairly easy. I remove my case off almost every few days and give my phone a good wipe so it doesn't bother me entirely.The fingerprint cut out is bigger and larger than the other cases I've dealt with. I personally enjoy this as it allows more accommodation for your finger and allows a more smooth natural feel when using move gestures, swiping up and down. With other cases they usually have a smaller cut out and are deeper. I end of find myself having to dig my finger in the back or position it in a certain way just to use the scanner. But this case...this is by far one of my favorite reason and uses for this case.Finally, like other's have said the case has flushed buttons which make it really hard to distinguish between which buttons you're pressing. The power button is texturized but it doesn't really help. I didn't find it too much of a deal breaker however.. The buttons have no complaints with access. They easily press in and work flawlessly.If you have question feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them.TLDR;Pros+ Nice sleek, simple, flat design (Fake bumper case if you ask me)+ Pretty huge fingerprint cut out allows a more natural feel for move gestures (swiping, unlocking)+ Clear back cases allows you to show off your phone's glory (Yo it's a pixeeeel)+ Minimal tramp stamp logos. (It only has the supcase imprinted on the bottom back)+ Feels sturdy, easily to put on easy to remove+ It has a slim profile that feels sexy in the hands+ Easy accessible ports, USB C, Microphone jack+ Pretty minimal and light weight case more so than the other cases I've testedCon- Camera cut out could be a bit bigger than you would like, meaning less protection and a higher chances of scratches- Bigger finger print and camera cutouts may allow more debris to fall in and enter the back of the case- Can smudge the back pretty easy, absorbs fingerprints- Squarish design may not appeal to everyone- Flat buttons flushed buttons makes it harder to distinguish between power and volume

I previously used a Unicorn Beetle on my Nexus 6, and the combination of hard rear shell with grippy rubber side bumpers easily made it my favorite case for that phone, so it just made sense for me to try the UB case for the Pixel XL.The overall case aesthetic is industrial and angular:- The back is a flat clear plastic shell that doesn't sit quite flush with the phone, preventing any weird rainbow artifacts that occur on some clear backs that sit flush with the glass upper half of the Pixel XL.- The cutouts for the camera/flash/sensors and the fingerprint reader are both on the large side, with the camera cutout in particular being a large, stylized angular shape that goes with the overall design aesthetic of the case.- The hard rubber bumper is raised both on the back and front sides of the case, offering a nice buffer of protection when the phone is flat on a surface. Around the sides, the bumper is all hard beveled edges on the corners and towards the front and back sides of the phone - a design decision that differentiates it from the smooth and rounded bumpers common to most phone cases.- Between the rubber bumper and the hard plastic back plate of the case is a plastic beveled accent strip. While not particularly noteworthy on the black version of this case, it is quite striking on the red and blue cases, and really adds a touch of style to the design.- The buttons are flush with the side of the case, distinguished only by a textured power button and slight indentations indicating the borders between the buttons. It is not particularly easy to use by touch at first, but once you get used to the case, it is not a problem (the key is feeling the textured power button, then sliding down to the volume buttons).Overall, I love this case. It nicely showcases the back of the phone, offers great protection on the back, sides, and corners, and has enough raised bumper to keep both the front and back of the phone from touching the surface upon which it rests. The accent color on the back and the angular design really sets the case design apart from others, although it is understandable if the aesthetic is not to your tastes. It is industrial and slab-like, yet sleek enough not to feel like an absolute brick (I'm looking at you, Otterbox). Highly recommended if you like the design aesthetic.

I fully recommend any SUPCASE phone case as this is the second one that I have owned, and "abused", with the phone being completely intact afterwards. This case is very well built, sleek and very nice looking, and has a great rubber edge to improve grip. I was going to subtract one star for the back of the case since it collects fingerprints extremely easily, but the fact that it just saved a 700$ phone, it fully deserves 5 stars.Today, I was walking along a curb, in the rain, and slipped off, resulting in a face-first fall onto pavement. My full weight landed on the phone, and this being the Pixel, it has glass on the back. I pulled the phone out of my pocket to find that the phone was only slightly bent (something that 90% of phone cases will not be able to prevent), and there were no cracks, separations, or major damages to the phone. The case took the brute force of the fall, and only has one half inch long crack and a few minor chips and scratches. This fall was hard enough that I tore a hole in my pants, and if there had not been a case on this phone, the glass back would have definitely been shattered, the phone probably would have been bent even more, and who knows if the camera would have been usable.

I like that it fits perfectly and protects my Pixel from unintended or accidental damages. Quality feels good for the price I paid.
