The boxes are great. They're very lightweight, which I consider a benefit when you are trying to cut down on the costs of shipping. I wouldn't put anything too heavy or fragile in it, but it's fine for most things.There's only one issue I'd like to point out for anyone thinking about getting these to ship items they sell on eBay or Etsy. The discount shipping labels you can get through these sites are 4" x 6", in order to affix them to this box, you have wrap 2" around from one side to another. This separates the two bar codes on the label.When I dropped a package off at the USPS, they told me that because of this the box may end up aligned wrong on the automated system and be unable to be scanned. When this happens, the machine drops the box off the track to be manually evaluated later. This can delay shipping.I doesn't seem like this will stop the package from being delivered, so I'm going to use the boxes I purchased. But I'm going to drop future boxes off in the after hours deposit to avoid future scoldings from USPS employees. :DThe next time I need to buy boxes I'll just pick up the 4x6x4 boxes so there is a side large enough for the label to fit.

I've used numerous Pratt Recycled boxes so this review is based on the several sizes I've used, not just this size. Pratt boxes are a little heavier than some competitor boxes, so if you're looking for the lightest possible box, a Pratt probably isn't the answer to your problem. That being said, Pratt boxes tend to be substantially stronger than competitor boxes, so if strength is what you're looking for, then this is your company to buy from! The corners are cut a little on the wide side--which has its benefits as well as its drawbacks. As some reviewers have posted about, it can cause the corners to have small gaps after the box is taped. Of course, this can be diminished by applying inward pressure while you're assembling the box. Now, the large gaps to make it easier to fold the flaps and it causes the rest of the box to retain more of its strength.In summary, Pratt boxes are built for STRENGTH, not weight. Make your decision based on your needs.

Great quality fast shipping

Great box for a great value! I was shipping out Etsy orders for Christmas, and needed a small box to help cut down on shipping costs. Not only did I save money on padding material - I didn't have to fill up all the extra space in the 6x6 boxes I was using! - but I saved money on postage, because the smaller boxes and less padding obviously weighed less as well. I was able to pass the savings on to my customers, which I'm sure they appreciated! Plus, these were cheaper per piece than the smallest/cheapest box I could get locally, even once I factored in shipping when I paid for the one-day shipping with my first order! The boxes were thick and very well constructed. I had worried at first that I would be getting a thin-walled cardboard box, but that proved to be absolutely NOT the case!

I don't hate these boxes, but I don't love them either. They aren't the thickest cardboard but everything gets where it's supposed to & my items aren't broke upon delivery. They are inexpensive & do the job beautifully.

These boxes are decent quality, but thin - I would not try to ship anything fragile in them. The batch I received are easy to assemble and not noticeably crooked - I expected much worse based on some of the other reviews. I print my own shipping labels and even though the bar code wraps down the side on this size box, I have never had an issue with the post office processing my packages (and I've sent over one hundreds shipments in this size box). These are worth the price, and were shipped quickly.

Decent box, for a box, however as other reviewers have noted, there does seem to be some sort of coating or residue on the outside of the box that doesn't allow the tape to stick well, but that being said, if you use a smooth edge device to press against the tape after it is applied, the tape will stick well enough. The box itself is well made and is glued square so it closes fine. I do appreciate the fact these boxes are 100% recycled as well.

Sometimes the cube boxes I order are perfect and then there are the times the edges don't match. Sill, I have ordered them over and over again. I like it they are made out of recycled materials. Though the edges aren't always straight I'm still able to tape the boxes with little effort. They are sturdy and best of all they have always been available for two day shipping. Also, I consider the boxes to be a great value for the low price I pay. If you're looking for the perfect box, this may not be it. If you're looking for a sturdy box that is economical and delivered quickly then go for it!
