Extra inserts comfort or orthotic! Size up half size!
They give you an extra orthotic !! You choose Comfort or Corrective fit similar to Vionic or Powerstep. Probably should order half size larger on these. I had to return but will reorder —Gravity Defy is great!

Need serious dedicated breaking in
I run on a treadmill 4 miles a day, at least 5 days a week. I always liked the foot/arch support feature of Gdefy shoes. I have tried two other brands, Nike and Saucony. Nike makes the worst running shoes. Every couple of years I make the mistake of buying a Nike pair after watching an impressionable commercial and end up adding a pair to my gardening shoes collection. Saucony on the other hand are great shoes and half the price I paid for Gdefy. I loved the Saucoy's until they fell apart (especially around the ankle area) within a few weeks. So I switched back to Gdefy and realized I had forgotten how hard they are to get used to. The soles are perfect, the most problematic area is the ankle support. The material that holds the ankles in place is very rigid and hard so while you can adjust the size of the shoe by adding or removing the inner soles, the ankle area will either be too tight or too loose and will make your ankles soar. Also if you tie your laces too tight you will feel it around your ankles. But once you have the right fit, you really need to follow the instructions that come with the shoes, that is, wearing them only for a short duration initially to get used to. Having said that, I haven't found a shoe with better foot and arch support and cushioning (nothing like the sticky memory foam). The only other issue I have is the shoe laces they come with. They don't stay tied while you are running and this is true for every pair of Gdefys I have every bought so I change the shoe laces from the beginning. You would think a pair of shoes costing $120 would come with a better pair of laces.I will buy again since as I said foot support and cushioning is the most important feature for me and memory foam is very disagreeable to achieve that goal.

Runs narrow! I wear wide and it was extremely narrow for a wide!
I ordered a shoe stretcher, we'll see if that helps. They aren't leather so...wasted money I'm afraid. Can't wear them to work which was the point!

Good shoes--just not as good as they could be
I have worn these shoes for 15-20 years. The fit is good and they seem to reduce the pain in my back/joints/neck. I am 70 years old and use these just for walking around (not running/jogging/working out.) Thus, I don't think I am very hard on them at all. My main problem is I have to replace them every 6 months due to poor quality. I usually try to drag it out to 8 months but at 6 months the hole on the heel is just starting to appear. Every gravity defyer shoe I have had (and I've had many) has worn out in exactly the same spot--both left and right shoe--in the heel. Eventually, if I continue to wear them after the dreaded hole I will get a blister and just have to quit. I've considered putting duck tape on the heel but thus far have just bought a new pair around the 6th month. I even went so far as to write the company to see if this is a common problem or there is a specific shoe I should order. They didn't bother to respond. So, I continue to order knowing that 6 months later I'll order again. Just know, their quality control is not great and their customer service is dismal.

Not as great as advertised
I wouldn't buy them again but they weren't awful. I expected them to be more comfortable, supportive and to last longer.

Nice shoe, slightly small, well made, but not for me.
I bought this shoe because i have PF that is really flaring up, but I like to walk and jog. This is a very well constructed shoe, its cute, however, i think runs slightly small in the length. My heel is very sore and the shoe, while very supportive, it did not have enough cushion in the heel. I tried with inserts as well, still felt like not enough cushion to comfortably walk, but definitely better than without the insert. Since i did like shoe, i bought a bigger size hoping to ALSO put a gel pad from drug store on top of insert. That really helped the heel, but the rest of the shoe then felt too big. I have a very hard time with jogging shoes, so its probably just my foot, not the shoe. I sadly had to return the bigger size as well. The company did refund my first size without a problem. I just today am returning the 2nd pair, so i'm hoping it goes as smoothly as the first pair. If your PF is not extreme, i think you would really like the shoes.
