Nice headphones (actually, amazing headphones)
First, I would like to say, I got these super cheap at $190. Now, onto the review.NOISE CANCELLINGIf you have ever tried noise cancelling headphones these are better. You can hear nothing but others voices very lightly, and nothing while music is playing. The feature which allows you to tune out music and tune in voices is outstanding and executed perfectly. Especially as a student, it enables you to be peaceful in class, but still be in contact with others. The ambient noise feature works, but still lets in a lot of voice and isn't really useful (What do you want to do? Listen to birds?). Anyway, the noise cancelling feature is most likely the best on the headset.COMFORT AND STYLEI haven't had any comfort issues. I do definitely think they feel a little heavy, and wearing them for over 3 hours would be uncomfortable. The ear cushion is plush and made of fake leather. It is soft enough and there is a fair amount of separation of the ear to the driver. The headband is made of the same material as the ear cushion and provides a fair amount of support to your head. The headphones look fine, and are designed well. I am unsure about the strange shape of the ear cups. Everything else is great.SOUNDThese headphones sound great and are definitely comparable to the sound of beats or other high quality brands. They have a crystal clear sound with deep bass and crisp treble. I do also think it isn't that impressive for headphones that ran for 400$. They do sound good though, so no other complaints.TECHThe touch controls work, but the play/pause control takes a couple times to register, and the same with other gestures but less often. I like the controls more on the Venstar S209s, which I recommend for a cheap, but amazing 50$ pair of wireless headphones. These ones fail and get things wrong too often. I think it is great that Sony included NFC which is really helpful for me. Changing devices is hard though, as others have complain. As for battery I think Sony nailed it. 20 hrs with ANC, and 26 hrs without. 34 hrs standby with ANC and 120 hrs without. 1 hr charge = 6 hours playback. Not bad. I know the Sony 1000xm2s have 10 hrs more, but this is enough for me.VERDICTThis is a damn good pair of headphones. Buy them. Every dollar was worth it. I've owned some pretty expensive headphones, these are the best. I wish you all the best of luck in finding the right pair of headphones.

Buying these headphones has kinda raised my quality of life.
I'm a really picky person and I critique the crap out of everything. But wow these Headphone as darn kool!I got the Refurbished version and there is nothing that makes me believe that I lost anything in the 1/2 price option except I have $200.000 to spare!I did a LOT of reading of others' reviews and the only comment I have is wow these sound better than I was lead to believe with the other reviews.I use these in an area where they have a white noise generator at a -57 dbm (not too high but makes you tired after hours to listening to it) level and what an absolute relief to get pure silence. I don't have to turn my media player volume up to compensate for this noise generator. I feel more at peace with these headphones on and I think this equates to lower stress let alone saving my ears from having to listen to loud music to hear the subtle sounds of the music. These headphones have an "optimizer" that is entered by long pressing the NC button. Working on the 14th floor on the building where the ambient pressure is lower than on a ground phone really maximizes the noise canceling effect. They also feel more comfortable after the optimizing. Without it, I feel a little bit of a static pressure that does not feel "right" it also makes me feel as if I were congested. The first day without knowing about it I had a headache.using these on a daily basis you also get "used" to the feel of these in relation to the noise canceling feel.Very pleasant audio quality and with "Poweramp" on an android device, the equalizer is amazing. These headphones are of good enough quality to make you start pointing fingers at any .MP3 files that is encoded at 140k or lower. You can really hear the difference of great quality and well "so so".After a long time of extended use they still feel comfortable. They don't dig, fall off, or heat up like all my other headphones in the past. very comfortable.Make sure you have safe place to keep these.. After laying out all this cash, you don't want to see them disappear!! The nice case that comes with them is of a really great quality and they fit easily and safely in the supplied case.Bluetooth Handling: many reviewers spoke of horrible Bluetooth hand off if using more than one device. I use the PC and my S5 Active phone (ya its an old model :P ) Once paired to the S5 and I turn on the headphones it consistently connects to the S5 (even when the PC has Bluetooth on). I think it makes the last device it was connected to as the priority. So I see it as a simple means to direct it to the device I want. If I turn off the S5 bluetooth to break the connection and tell the PC to connect in the Bluetooth Devices panel, it does just that. It really just makes sense. Once connected to device, it stays there until you direct it to another. Yes the Headphones kinda work as a slave and the master is the device you are saying connect with.Battery life... Cripe this device really excels here. press the Power button briefly and it reports "Battery level (High,Med,Low)" After 2 days of constant play, it still says "Battery level Med." There is a red LED that stays solid when charging on the Micro USB charge port. From 2 days of use, and 1 hour of charging... "Battery Level High"Buying these headphones has kinda raised my quality of life. How many items can you buy that you can say that to???Without a doubt a WONDERFUL buy!!I've listened to the Bose in a local Target store and I like the sound of these MUCH better. You are either a MDR-xxxx person or your notIf you like the sonic pitch/tonal sound of any MDR family headphones, you will love these.
