Q: Is this mdf or chipboard? they are not the same thing

It is chip board. I bought it cuz it said mdf but it is not.

Q: Could this be nailed into for string art?

Being that it is 1/4” thick, I wouldn’t chance it.

Q: Will these cut on a Cricut Maker?

they are thick mdf. you are going to need a jigsaw or circular saw to cut them.

Q: 1/4" = .250" Is the thickness actually .250"? what is the actual thickness?

It's really .250 inches. Personally measured.
