Excellent controller for the price
I have 4 of these , each with four 100 watt panels hooked up totaling 1600 watts. All 4 charging the same battery bank. And when the sun is out I can run a 1000 watt air conditioner and not deplete my batteries. That’s why I purchased a fifth one, they work well in tandem and vary the output depending on the load. Just need to order four more panels next week. Note these units can handle 500 watts of solar for a 12v system but I like to have a good margin of safety. Update I know have 6 of these ,4 under the gcsoar brand and 2 under other names all with Bluetooth and have had no problems with the solar life app though I did have to rename them skywize 1 to 6 so I’d know which one I was looking at. Initially the android app was a bit buggy and iOS wouldn’t connect at all but I have recently re installed both and and now connection is flawless.

Doesn't seem to function properly
After about 1 month of use, Unit is terrible to program, bluetooth does not work. I have ( 2 ) 250 watt panels for a total of 500 watts hooked to this controller and I can only seem to get about 10 amps of charging when I should be getting close to 30 amps. I have about 5 different controllers running over 3,000 watts in panels and this one is rated the lowest of all of them.Edit: Returned and replaced with a different unit. Could not find a way to contact seller, was hoping they would respond to my review to try to see what the problem is but no response.Unit was acting as it was a pwm controller and could not lower voltage to convert to amps. Qty of 2 -250 watt panels hooked in series combined voltage 75.2 volts.

Charger failed after 3 years
I love the controller but hate the bluetooth software. You have to manually reconnect to your phone each time usually force stopping the app. Doesn't automatically reconnect to phone when you open the app. Emailed the company contact 5 days ago, still no reply. Better than PWM controller but the software needs fixing for sure.......almost impossible to change parameters from the box

built in Bluetooth and app are terrible
the bluetooth is some kind of strange protocol that only their app can read and their app is super buggy. crashes all the time, disconnects/fails to reconnect the device, doesnt export data.

Bluetooth no workie.
The unit was either mislabeled or defective as the Bluetooth did not show to be working. Trying to program this controller through the LCD is truly horrific. Also, the "remote" temperature sensor has only about 4" of wire so you have to add wire or buy their expensive sensor with a longer wire. After reading the charging specs on this unit and comparing to a Victron Smart controller, the Victron won out. This unit has a timed absorption charge(that can be adjusted, in theory) versus the adaptive charging on the Victron that sets different parameters each morning when firing up depending on the state of the battery at the time. A much better way of doing things as far as making your batteries last longer. You really do get what you pay for.Edit to add for clarification. The controller that I tried was the 40 amp BLE. I did return this unit and installed a Victron Smart Solar 30 amp controller. The reason to change my one star review to a two is because the seller has offered a free sample to try out for 5(five) years to compare it to the Victron.
