This is a beautiful journal/notebook full of BEAUTIFUL cream-colored handmade paper. I purchased this at full price after looking at many different varieties of handmade paper for my art journal and deciding that this was the best price for 48 sheets of handmade paper. I have to admit, I'm truly tempted to buy another one just to keep as it is, because it's sort of a work of art in itself. Every sheet of paper is different- some thinner than others, some with more "inclusions" than others. But they are all full sheets of paper (no "bald" spots on any of the sheets, like you sometimes get with handmade papers...) and bound beautifully into a notebook/journal form.One thing to note with handmade paper- it can be tricky to paint or use ink on the surface, because of the fact that sizing can range so much between batches of paper (if there is sizing at all) and certain mediums will either sink right in to the paper or sit on top. So if you are getting this journal for water based mediums, you might need to coat the paper with a little bit of clear gesso first, just to prevent anything from sinking in.This is a perfect notebook, art journal, or source for handmade paper. I will definitely order more once I use this up.

Such beautiful paper. Will only be using this from now on! The hardback journal does seem to have thicker pages than this softbound one, so my fountain pen bleeds through faintly to the other side here and there, but I don't care. It's a joy to write on and my pen works great on it!

The paper is interesting but a shade on the thin side. A heavy fountain pen doesn’t bleed through though. Thin pages means more pages though.

Beautifully made, excellent quality hand made paper. Bigger than I expected (this is good) at 5.5" tall x 3/5" wide x 3/8' thick. It is the perfect bed-side size for taking notes and writing down affirmations. I love hand made paper and view these a pages a quite beautiful and unique.

This is a very interesting and nice product:There is a good history behind it, not just because the millenary tradition of handmade paper, but also because of the current compromise of supporting rural development in Nepal, preserving environmental sustainable processes.Now talking of the product itself, it generates a really good sensation at touch; the size is perfect for my pockets, and it is very light having fifty pages. If you are looking for an industrialized product go to other site, but if you valuate individual and unrepeatable artisanal goods you will be glad with it.

I love the look of this notebook. Very natural feel. I’ve put some stickers inside so far.
