Super NOVA Unisex – Adult's E3 Pure 3 Front Light, Black, Dynamo

The dynamo light has a nice tight beam that is suitable for road use and does not dazzle oncoming drivers. The product appears to be well made and I have already put 300 or so miles on the bike since install.

Great light for riding. Does not blind on-coming drivers but lets you see the road very well.

It points where you set it. It's clear and powerful enough to sort of "cast through" cables. The reason for the 4 stars is that the cord that is designed for the taillight isn't long enough to run through my frame and mount on the back of my cargo rack. The front on the other hand had enough to route down both times and plug it in.

Beautifully constructed. Includes bolts for fork crown hole mount, but no handle bar or other bracket. It is wired for a tail light, which you need to buy. It had no switch, and it runs all the time, but it doesn't seem to cause much drag because it draws little current. It works well with a Shimano hub dynamo. It holds on with a capacitor long enough for a traffic light. It says it can't be used with a USB charger at the same time. Installing a dynamo system takes some work, but it is very nice when it is done!

I regularly ride on country roads at dusk or night. The quality of the light is pristine and focused on the road. No matter the elements, it is dependable and a consistent performer wherever you go. The E3 Pure 3 seems like a jewel. Its jewel-likeness projection is clearly something special that warrants attention to the onlooker weather on the road, a fellow bike rider, incoming cars and trucks even animals. All of which should encourage onlookers to recognize someone of significance is on the road who is worthy of their best behavior as they drive by with a car, truck or bus.

It's a good little dynamo light. The pattern of light that it throws on the ground isn't as nice as the older Lumotec IQ on the other bike. But, it's suitable for the city riding i'll be doing with it. I'm intrigued with the possibility of wiring a tail light to the thing. That's next. Once that's done I'll never have to worry about batteries - hurrah.

The beam was bright and focused only at about 10mph plus. With my Dynamo setup at least there's no battery so it'll fade to an extremely dim beam fast at for example a red light. Yikes. It made me want to carry a second light so it wasn't worth that huge chunk of money for me. I wonder if these Dynamo lights are just a fad but some people love them.

Same light output as the EV2 PRO, but permanently on!!I choose this because I thought that without a switch, there is less to go wrong!!!Suitable for riding on unlit roads!Use as daytime running light, increases user safety in traffic.Fitted to a 26" wheel with a SON28 dynamo, usable from about 4 - 5 mph.Bought to replace a B & M IQ-X bought only 18 months ago but not very waterproof!!!! Ich fahre fast jeden Tag zur Arbeit, auch im Winter. Dabei wurde ich in der Vergangenheit oft der Vorfahrt beraubt, weil Autofahrer mich nicht auf dem Radweg wahrnehmen konnten. Das ist nun erheblich besser geworden. Das Licht ist sehr hell. Lediglich die Nahbereichsausleuchtung könnte noch verbessert werden. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Denn jetzt kann ich ruhigen Gewissens mit 30 Sachen auf dem Radweg im dunkeln fahren, kein Hindernis bleibt unentdeckt, auch nicht auf nassem Asphalt.Allein durch den erhöhten Sicherheitsfaktor habe ich den Kauf keine Sekunde bereut.

Die Lampe bietet ein sehr gutes Licht. Auf dunklen Straßen wird eine Ausleuchtung auf 50 Meter erzeugt. Trotzdem wird schon weniger Meter vor dem Fahrrad ein normaler Fahrradweg in voller Breite ausgeleuchtet. Die Fertigungsqualität macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Einziges Manko: Das Standlicht ist ziemlich schwach.

Lovely stuff. So so good. I never need to worry about lights again, not even turning on and off! You can tell straight away it's built to last forever. Choose bracket option wisely!

Die Lampe hat ihren Preis, ganz klar.Beim auspacken, hatte ich das Gefühl eine gute und hochwertige Lampe gekauft zu haben.Gut investiertes Geld.Beim lesen der Bedienungsanleitung dachte ich mir aber schon: "das ist aber ganz schön dreist".Da steht geschrieben, dass man den DC-Rücklichtausgang nur für Rücklister der Firma Supernova nutzen darf!Mir ist bewusst, dass da viel Elektronik drin steckt und die Firma sich absichern möchte. Wenn man einen Stromfresser anschließt und die Elektronik der Frontlicht kaputt geht, dann heißt es am Ende: "So ein Mist für einen Haufen Geld".Da ich mir jedoch einen Gepäckträger mit intergiertem DC-Rücklicht dazu gekauft habe (das Rücklicht ist nicht von Supernova) habe ich mir die technischen Daten des empfohlenen Rücklicht vom Frontlicht-Hersteller angesehen.Da beim Hersteller des Gepäckträger nur unzureichende Daten verfügbar waren, habe ich den Stromverbrauch des Rücklicht gemessen.Da das Rücklicht weniger Strom zieht als vom Frontlicht Hersteller vorgegebene, sollte zumindest ein Defekt aus Überlast ausgeschlossen werden können.Das Ganze angeschlossen und wie sollte es anders sein: Das Rücklicht leuchtet einfach nicht.Vermutlich müsste man nun einen Widerstand einlöten um den Frontlicht ein herstellerkonformes Rücklicht vorzumogeln.Fazit: Mist. Das gibt 3 Sterne Abzug.Vor allem auch deshalb, weil in der Produktbeschreibung nicht davor gewarnt wird BEVOR man auf bestellen klickt.
