Great for a fire starter. I have never had an issue with getting a fire going when I use these. I hate when people use gasoline and this works twice as well.

I purchased these twice the first time they were not wrapped in plastic and were heavier (seemed more dense) and worked great even in high winds, the next purchase the box was much lighter, and the firestarters were wrapped in plastic, they seemed harder to light and I had a problem twice (decent winds those days) were they went out and I had to relight. Still worked great hence the 4 stars but since the quality went down I may try another brand now.

If you have a gravity fed grill these are what you want. I have bought different kinds of kindling to get mine going and these always work where others leave me spending way more time trying to get the grill heating. Don’t bother with the others and just get these They work every time!

I use these in the wood stove in our house and occasionally our fire pit and it does the trick every time. Very quick and easy to light, no odor, burns well and a box usually goes a long way, usually no more than 1 or 1/2 a square is required. I'll keep buying.

I use these with my Masterbuilt 850. They are the only thing that burns long enough to consistently light the lump charcoal in the hopper. Other grill starters burn out too quickly.

Easy to light fits perfectly in my Masterbuilt 560 smoker. Best value for your money
