Does it actually stay cool all night?

I haven’t noticed it’s particularly cool but it doesn’t hold its shape well. It’s ok for me but I often have to flip it so the raised edge is under my head because if I read in bed, I notice it flattens. If I go right to sleep, I don’t usually notice.

Will a standard size pillowcase fit ?

It fits my standard size cases (somewhat sloppily)

what is the thickness of the pillow?

5 1/4" for side sleepers; 4 1/4" for back sleepers. The foam is soft and very comfortable.

Does it require a pillow case

It has a zippered case on it BUT I prefer to put my own pillow case on it.
