I have a lot of gardening books but this one is a real keeper. Easy to use, lots of pictures and good advice for a flower gardener!

The Ultimate Flower Gardener's Guide is Jenny Rose's sunny companion to her first book, Glorious Shade. It has five sections:In the first section, Jenny Rose helps us look at individual flowers and truly see them, not just their color but the many shapes and their role in the garden. In the second chapter, Jenny Rose gives the stars of each season that she defines as early to mid-spring, late spring to early summer, high summer, late summer into autumn, and winter. She suggests tasks and activities for each. The following section comprises numerous plant pictures and detailed profiles, including the shape and the plant's role in the garden. This section enables the gardener to make informed choices. The final two chapters describe types of flowerbeds, hardscaping, and various kinds of gardens. I am thrilled that the author featured my garden in the section on looking for inspiration.Beautifully written, and the photographs in the book are gorgeous - the author took most of them. Jenny Rose's title for this book is very appropriate. It is truly the ultimate guide for any gardener to begin a new garden or improve an existing one.

I have been purchasing and reading gardening books for over two decades and this book is by far the one I have enjoyed reading most of all.It should be in every gardeners library.Photography is beautiful. The list of flowering plants in the center of the book is going to be my flower bible forever.

Jenny Rose Carey is a gifted author, and The Ultimate Flower Gardener’s Guide is a wonderful, informative and beautifully written guide to flower gardening.The book features annuals and perennials, and provides valuable information on flower choice, shapes, color, texture and design. The photographs are also excellent.Over the last two pandemic years I have been spending more time in my garden and have wanted to increase my flower knowledge. This book is an ideal way to enhance one's flower garden knowledge.

This book is such a beautiful reference from Achillea-Zinnea :-) Easy to read, well organized. A practical guide with well written, well humored and easy to understand approach to creating the garden that fits your style. The beautiful pictures complement the informative dialog. Something to pick up time and time again.

The images are gorgeous and the info given for each flower is the most basic needed to get started.Lists shape, role in your garden, where to place in the garden, bloom time, size, hardiness zone, annual or perennial.Lots of other useful info as well. As a vegetable gardener originally, I find the info helpful for branching out into flower gardening. Excited to order Jenny's other book about shade plants.

This book is INCREDIBLE!!! I have an extensive library of garden/flower books and this is one I will treasure and reference throughout the year.
