Generac 6433XT 8000E Watt Portable, 49-state/CSA

Bought a new home up in New Gampshire and noticed a lot of people on my cul da sac had propane tanks and an auto generator due to power outages. After getting some quotes and trying to figure out if an auto or portable generator would be better. Well, aside from having the house rewired, laying foundations slabs to support the genny, buying 2 250 gallon propane tanks, getting both an electrician and plumber to run the copper from tanks to genny....we were around $11,000 give or take. I nearly had a heart attack. Investigated this 8000 watt portable genny for $1,500, had the electrical wire a 10 breaker box next to the main and add a plug outside and had my well pump, furnace, refrigerators and numerous outlets selected all in it was $1,900 vs $11,000. This is a fantastic generator, holds like 9 gallons of gas at a time, can run for 18 hours, roughly, on a full tank and has additional plugs receptacles for extensions cords if necessary. Aside from having to get gas and maintain the oil, having a $2k investment for “just in case” scenarios vs $11k is money well spent. Great product, starts right up and easy to operate. I also bought a small pop-up tent, open on all sides, to keep snow and water off the generator while it’s running.

Very well made and received quickly. When leg was missing in box customer service was right on it and very nice.

Starts easily and powers my home nicely—including two small window ac units. It is loud!

Hey, it’s a generator and it works.This has enough wattage/amps to run a whole small house, it does ours.It’ll run our ac/heater, fridge, freezer, TV and several lights.It is a bit on the loud side, but it’s better than being in the dark with warm beer and no TV!

My husband unpacked this item and put it together. He is pleased with the quality and quietness of the engine. Hopefully we will never need it in an emergency but being portable he will be able to take it out on the farm to help with maintenance where there is no electricity available.

Fantastic generator! Just what we needed to replace our old one. This one looks and sounds like quality!

It took me 1 hour 30 min to remove from box and put the pieces together. But it was well worth it when it started right up and powered all I needed to during a power outage !!
