I bought this item because I like to lie in bed and use my iPad. I will level with you. I am a lazy man. And recently I have resorted to using an iPad clamp stand to suspend my iPad in front of my face while I lie flat in bed. The problem is holding my arms upright to interact with the touch screen often leaves my arms tired or numb as the blood doesn’t circulate to my extended arms. Ouch! So I decided to give this product a try despite its high price and somewhat negative reviews. I have been pleasantly surprised as this item has performed great. The trackpad style clicker allows me to navigate Reddit and Twitter and YouTube without even lifting my arms. I just hold the clicker in my hand to one side and scroll and click away. Sadly I still have to lift my arms to type on the touch screen as I am doing now (ouch!). But perhaps combining this with a Bluetooth keyboard will provide the ultimate horizontal setup. The scroll function is a bit dodgy at times but it’s not so bad so I am still giving 5 stars.

Use this mainly to scroll when reading web pages pdfs books etc as i hate endlessly swiping touchscreen devices. Doubles up as a media remote for windows pc.Big negatives about this product1) Default apple On-screen touch keyboard does not appear to input text when this remote is connected, in safari nor text messenger.2) When using “mouse mode” on the trackpad (the scroll mode is useless anyway) initially , cursor did not appear automatically once paired. There is a menu under settings > accessibility called pointer options BUT this only appears if AssistiveTouch is enabled. Once there you can adjust pointer colour and size, “scrolling speed” underneath these is counter intuitive, does not affect tracking speed. To adjust tracking speed, relevant setting is located under Accessibility>Touch> AssistiveTouch>Tracking Speed.When AssistiveTouch is on, by default an icon is perm overlaid on side of the screen, this can be hidden via Always Show Menu in the AssistiveTouch settings panel.It seems that once pointer settings has been customised AssistiveTouch does not need to need to be enabled for the cursor overlay to remain.A tip is to pre-set tge hone button so that if pressed three tines in quick succession it enables AssistiveTouch on/off.Just my 2c hopefully sons useful info

I wanted something solely to stop, pause, play and advance music remotely on my iPad. There are others out there that claim to do that but this is the only one which actually does what I wanted.Brilliant!

Overall this product seemed like a good idea BUT the ergonomic design of using it are very bad - As a result it is not easy to use in practice.

Doesn't work with my ipad. I bought it hoping I could use the scroll function when reading documents, but nope. Instruction very poor. Wish I could return it but I made the mistake of throwing away the box as it was bin day. Complete waste of 30 pounds.

Very poor quality touch pad i found did not perform well at all and sometimes while trying to navigate skipped across the screen.
