Lifechanging! I had hip surgery requiring non-weight bearing for many weeks, my arms and hands were taking a beating with traditional crutches, limiting my mobility significantly. Since ordering these, I have been up and about and able to get around with comfort and ease! Are they $$$, yes! But worth every penny - they are sturdy and comfortable due to their ergonomic design. I highly recommend and was happy to share the link with fellow patients in the waiting room at my latest Dr's. appointment!

Just spend the money. Your comfort and stability (safety) are worth the extra dough.
I found out about Mobilegs after staring at my crutches that look exactly like the ones I had in second grade. I was dumbfounded that’s how we were still doing things after 30+ years. I mean surely SOMEONE has to have done SOMETHING to improve crutches in all that time! Within one day of receiving the Mobilegs, I went from dreading a trip to the bathroom to PACING BACK AND FORTH while talking on the phone just like I used to do before the ACL was disintegrated. The innovative angled ergo grips are a life (and limb) saver. The under arm ‘things’ are not only much more comfortable and vented, but they are hinged to allow movement when walking! I know what you’re thinking: “but I already have crutches why should I spend $100+?” Because it is not the price of something it is the VALUE of that thing. The difference here is not merely some extra padding and some fancy looks like some of the other “upgraded” crutches you will find. The jump in comfort and stability is not like going from say a Kia to a BMW. These crutches are more like the jump from a tuk tuk in Thailand to a Rolls Royce. I don’t care what income bracket you are in. If you are forced to be on crutches for any length of time, steal from grandmama if you have to get the extra money. Disclaimer: that last sentence was a joke. But if you want to go from balancing on those archaic death sticks to using a pice of equipment that actually feels a part of you, you’re just going to have to find the extra dough. You’ll thank me and the rest of the reviewers here later. The fact that these are not even a paid upgrade option at your typical Ortho center is a crime. Mobilegs should be the new “standard” crutch.

They have saved my armpits
Light weight and ergonomic handles make these a great alternative to standard crutches.

Better than traditional crutches in so many ways.
Pros:1) Easier on the hands, especially if you have large hands. Traditional crutches were too narrow for me to use properly, and my hands would get pinched between the handle and the posts on either side, or I would have to support all of my weight on just my thumbs. The Ergonomic handles on mobilegs, while still not correctly sized for me, gave me more flexibility in positioning my hands to reduce the stress on my joints and didn't cause pinching or blistering. It actually allowed my hands to heal after dealing with the traditional crutches for a week.2) Comfortable saddles that don't bruise your ribs or arm pits.3) Faster, and more controlled movement.Cons:1) I am at the upper limit of the weight bearing capacity of these crutches, and they creak horribly as my weight is applied, and removed.2) The spring, and hinge in the saddles makes it a little tougher to keep slip outs from happening, and don't allow mobilegs to provide much support in cases where you need to stand and use your hands. Many times, I find that I need to have at least one hand on a crutch to prevent me from losing my balance and falling because the spring or hinge gives too much, to easily.3) The grip of the feet leaves much to be desired especially at the edges where the contact patch is smallest.Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for me by a large margin, even with the reduced stability considered. I have found that more careful use and strengthening of my upper body has reduced much of the stability issues over time. Also, after a month of handling my near 300lbs I can say that whoever is having problems with feet wearing out too fast, must be dragging them over rough surfaces, and bashing them really hard into the ground, because mine are showing little to no wear.

Great buy!
I purchased these to use after having arthroscopic hip surgery at the beginning of May, anticipating only needing to use them for about three weeks. These looked to be more comfortable than traditional crutches, so I took the chance and invested the extra money. I'm glad I did! Things turned out differently than anticipated, and I have been on them for 4 weeks, with at least 5 more ahead of me.I really like the design of these crutches. The handles are ergonomically shaped to be more comfortable on your hands, which I found to be a major bonus, given that my hands aren't used to having to carry the majority of my body weight. The underarm supports are a soft, flexible material, which has been super comfortable to have against my body. My only complaint about this design being that sometimes the underwire from my bra slips into the holes and pinches occasionally - obviously only a problem for underwired bra wearers. The underarm supports are also equipped with sort of a shock absorber type mechanism. While this isn't great if you're needing that part of the crutch to support your body, it does make standing in place far more comfortable than the stiffness of a traditional crutch. They're also fully adjustable - both in height and twist. I know that sounds silly, but the crutch and the underarm supports twist, allowing you to place the hand grips at an angle that is the most comfortable for you to support yourself - a real life saver for sore shoulders and elbows!Overall, I think these are a great product, and if you can afford to spend the extra money, they're well worth it! I would definitely recommend these to anyone I know.
