Great overview, tough in parts
Fascinating book about how Bayesian analysis can improve quality and enterprise management. It is written for the layman for the most part. The technical parts are hard to follow unless one has a mathematical background.

Solid on business guidance for "Big Data" initiatives
Solid on business guidance. Light in spots on technical aspects but, in truth, most so-called "Big Data" initiatives today need to pay a lot more up-front attention on the business objectives and constraints.

Great framework for Big Data
I think what I appreciated most is that it is both a "back to basics" guide for those with some knowledge as well as a solid intro to those new to the field. It's comprehensive and exactly what you need if you are going to take Big Data seriously.

Great Book!!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's well written and provides excellent breadth on the topic of Big Data. The depth is perfect for a manager who isnt (yet) looking to begin coding but wants to understand Big Data well enough to know what the different technologies are and how they are applicable to solve different kinds of big data problems. Highly recommended for the manager looking to understand the technologies at a high level as well as the techy who is looking for a good starting point and breadth on the topic.

Not worth it.
The book only got 142 pages. There is no big data analysis, only theory. Do not waste your time and money.
