New CLARITY 52702.000 Expandable HANDSET for D702, D712 & D722 Amplified Cordless Phones

I'm writing the same basic review for the Clarity Expandable Handset that I wrote for the main corless phone.I bought the Clarity Amplified Low Vision Cordless Phone with Answer for Christmas for my "senior" sister who is both visually impaired and who wears hearing aids. On her previous phone it was hard for her to read the caller ID and see the numbers she was dialing. And she could not hear caller well. This phone is fantastic for her! I'd give it six stars if I could. The dial pad's big numbers are perfect, the LED display is very bright with big letters and numbers and easy to read, and the receiver is crisp and clear and loud when she needs it to be. Perfect!I also gave her this Clarity expandable handset which does not need to be plugged into a phone jack (it connects to the base wirelessly) and she loves it. She keeps the main handset plugged in next to her bed, and uses the expandable handset to have near her when she is watching TV or on her computer. I highly recommend this handset (along with the base phone) to anyone with partial hearing and/or partial vision loss. It makes a world of difference.

I purchased this phone for my 85 year old mother who is STARTING, and I do mean only starting to lose her hearing, because I looked up what phone system would be best for her use.What can I say to dissuade you.... The sound issues are numerous and problematic, the reception is horrid conversations are cut off mid sentence.. a disaster. I am giving her back her old phone (7-8 years old) that actually was working fine, it was just a bit beaten up.

Huge disappointment. The phones have a lot of static noise, and clicks in the background. The quality of sound does not measure up to the four star rating. I would like to return them but do not have,the packaging. I would then exchange the Clarity phone set for the less expensive Panasonic instrumentstion. Please advise how to proceed.

I have 2 handsets and another handset with answering machine in my house. This is the best phone system I have ever owned. The volume control on the side of the phone is wonderful. This phone system has all the features I need to be able to hear people better and make dialing so much easier.

This handset is next to Mom's bed. It's easy to use, lights up, sits well in the base.

Fantastic phone.
