Definitely worth the cost to be able to use a remote again
Got this as a replacement for my original Z906 remote when the batteries leaked and destroyed the PCB. While I was looking at the original remote board, though--trying to decide if it was repairable--I noticed that the IC only used 3V of the total 4.5V required. Only the IR LED used the 4.5V. As this (and other) replacement remotes only use two batteries (and thus 3V), it would help explain why the range on it may not be quite as far as the original. However, it works fine from across the room in which my speakers are in (~15ft), so I can't complain. Going to take the batteries out until I need it, though.

Better than the original
My old remote packed up thanks to the batteries leaking .This is better than the original! No messing about batteries in worked straight away.
