MySpool Power Failure, Temperature, Water, Continuity Sensors with Text Message and Email Alerts, P3 Multi-Sensor

Unit would not configure as per the instructions. Wasted a couple of hours trying too get it going before contacting tech support. They managed to get the unit registered with no explanation as to why it wouldn't behave as it was supposed to.Once operating all the graphs etc are based on US times only. No option to configure anything other than US timezones so all the times are incorrect.Power fail notifications were also unreliable - sometimes they wouldn't come through at all.Don't waste your time. If you need power fail notifications put an old mobile phone to use with a suitable app and at least it's quick to get going and it's reliable.

Had this thing for 8 months or so. Unit never worked properly, would false alarm, lose Internet (while all other devices near it are fine). I reset it a few times. Support had some lame excuse. Last straw was this week when I actually HAD water - and the thing didn't alarm.So - decided to take the warranty route. Well - I was informed it's a six month warranty - so tuff luck (should tell everyone something about this junk).

We purchased this product to monitor the power and temperature conditions inside our travel trailer while we're away. This is especially important to us as we usually travel with our three dogs and they don't always accompany us when we leave the trailer. The first product we received was DOA and had to be returned. The second one worked as advertised and provides real piece of mind knowing that the temperature and power are acceptable for our dogs. My biggest complaints with this product (and perhaps most IOT devices) is as follows:a. No installation or setup instructions were included in the box. I found them on the MySpool website but it was not an intuitive experience.b. You need to explore all the options for the device and then decide how you want it to behave. Again, not intuitive as you'll need to look at "Setup", "My Devices" and "FAQ" to find out all the options.Pros:a. Works as advertised once you figure things out.b. Fairly simple, cloud-based interface.

Working part-time and spending 2-3 days away from home occasionally, I have always been concerned about a sump pump and/or power failure. I have a battery back-up system for my Wi-Fi so this new item is exactly what I wanted. It is easy to set up (Just follow instructions closely.) and works flawlessly.Vendor's foresight in allowing multiple verification alarm tests during the first 24 hours is greatly appreciated and very unusual - great job!I have already recommended this item and their other products many times.
