I read the reviews on other websites and this was rated one of the better sound bar for an apartment. There were not many reviews on Amazon and I thought maybe because this product was relatively new (August 2021). The V2.1 Vizio series was the newest version and for the price and characteristics, it was great. I read all the instructions and used the HDMI Arc of my Samsung TV to Vizio sound bar. It worked fine but the next day, it stopped. I reset the whole system and still it did not work. I went to do some research concerning this issue on websites . There was a website that had four owners having the same problem that I did - it didn't work after a couple of hours or several days. One reset the entire system and it worked and others just returned the product. I liked the look and size of the sound bar but it just wouldn't work despite all the research I did. I plan to return and buy a Samsung sound bar.An update - I was told that one should disconnect all the HMDI plugs and start from there. I have three HMDI openings - TV Ark, HMDI 2 and HMDI 1. I was using all three and the sound bar did not work. Now, I only used the HMDI TV Ark and HMDI 2 and the sound bar worked. They should put this in the instructions.

I've had audio receivers with full 7.1 surround sound and 10" subwoofer, but there was no good way to hide the wires in my new house. This was the next best thing. There's not a ton of thump, but I think it's because of where I had to place the subwoofer. The bar itself has crisp, clear dialogue and a much fuller sound than my Vizio M-series tv speakers. The biggest difference is the volume. Some older shows on streaming services were barely audible with the tv volume very high. They are easy to hear on the sound bar even at lower volume levels. This was definitely a great value for the sale price that I got it at.

After the setup issues with the TV, the sound bar had a problem with no output. I had the connection of the HDMI, but in the setup there is just the hdmi-arc which did not work. So I connected the fiber and boom GREAT sound out of it. So far I love it. Mind the TV is a 2021 Vizio J 5 series 50 inch. I will check the settings menu to see if there is a setting for the hdmi-arc. Other than that I love the sound.

I’ve been a Vizio loyalist since 2015. Their 2.1 2015 sound bar was 4 out of 5 stars IMO and I assumed this would be an upgrade. Unfortunately that didn’t turn out to be true.This sound bar is amazing for background and foreground sound. Music? Perfect. Everything is rich and the bass is BASSY. Which is a plus for me.The only thing I can’t stand is the ridiculously low dialogue sound. Even with the dialogue “booster” function, it’s unacceptable. Dialogue is 5/5 and everything else is non existent.There’s no way to adjust the sound levels so you’re stuck with the default features.I returned this and bought a 3.1 LG sound bar and couldn’t be happier. The additional speaker does wonders for dialogue and I would suggest buying a 3.1 if that’s important to you too!

Purchased this sound bar and sub woofer with satellite speakers. It actually works pretty well, but NO satellite speakers as it says in description. I did get the sound bar & sub woofer, but NO satellites??!! Am very disappointed, quite a rip off! Will keep for now, but I should have gone with my gut and purchased at Best Buy...
