The best moisturizer on the markets!! 10 yr user.
I've used this for over 10 years. This is the best moisturizer for natural hair - esp 4c, 4b or a mixing pot of the 4's. It may be too heavy/greasy for looser curled hair but idk. When my hair is dry or brittle, I spray with water or leave in conditioner, add the butter and then use a sealant for a twist out or braid out or just in its natural afro state after wash day. Your hair just sucks up the goodness of the butter and your hair remains moisturized for DAYS. Your hair becomes sooo soft and shiny. Many other moisturizing products moisturize when you apply them but then a day or 2 later, your hair becomes dry or crunchy. Not with this butter. Also for the issues with the grittiness - it's like shea butter or cocoa butter - you just have to keep working it in your hands until it melts well so a none issue for me.For anyone dealing with dryness or trying to find a moisturizer which will keep your hair moisturizer - this is the one but always spray your hair with water or leave in conditioner to start.Just know - you will grease up your pillows or hats etc. it does give a little bit of a greasy feel but at least it's not like 'sit on top of your hair and don't penetrate the strands greasy'...more like 'sealed into every strand of hair and keeps it moisturizer so there is a surface greasiness but not an issue based on how well your hair sucks up the moisture this brings. This is my #1 staple product where i have mid back hair length (4b/4c hair)

Amazing, but a bit different than store bought!
Ah-mazing!!! If you’ve never tried The Mane Choice, then this is a game changer. It melts in your hand like coconut oil, but softens hair so much more. It’s my go to when my hair is dry! I usually use it every few night as a part of a braid routine. I use this product, along with water, and a good moisturizer to seal my hair. There is no need for a lot of it, a little goes a long way! I use to have to moisturize everyday or use products that were incredibly thick that would ruin a hairstyle. This product doesn’t do this and doesn’t revert your hair back to a curly state, so you can use it whether you’ve just straightened your hair or when you’re going au naturale. Nowadays I only really use this along with two other products (leave-in and cream moisturizer).I will be honest and say it is grittier than when I’ve bought it in the store. Feels like it wasn’t mixed well enough before being put in the jar. Maybe a slightly bad batch is sold through amazon? It still works great though and seems like the same product.Long review, but I really do love this product! It’s become a staple product that I have to have at all times!

Hair care
Was skeptical about spending this much on one hair product (as usual for me lol) but i love it. Smells great. And you don't even have to use much it goes a long way so I'm all for the process now lol. Soft and buttery highly recommended.

Great Product
This makes my hair soo soft and manageable! I have different textures on my head... 3c and 4a so finding someting that works great all over my head was kinda hard, but now I look no further. I didnt get it soo much for growth, just mainly for moisture and it's working great. Great deliver to boot!

Glad to have a favorite hair product back
I've used Mane Choice products for over a decade, including this one, and I'm glad I can now get it for a better cost and never have to worry about it being out of stock. It moisturizes my scalp well, great shine, and promotes ongoing hair health and growth for me.

Fine, not miraculous.
This is essentially a lighter, more spreadable version of shea butter, which is the primary ingredient. There's no miracle here, in my opinion. The product does not contain water, therefore it is NOT moisturizing on its own. You can, as with any other oil-based product, put water on your hair and use this to help seal that moisture in for 24 hours or so. During that time, yes, your hair will be soft. The ingredients are all natural, which is a plus, and there's no nasty smell. I consider this a basic sealer that is lighter and less tacky-feeling than pure shea butter. The price is reasonable, so it's fine for that purpose. If you're experiencing a hair dryness/breakage crisis, this is not going to solve it single-handedly so I wouldn't tell anyone to run out and buy this. You need to do your deep-conditioning, your resting hairdos, have a great detangling conditioner and non-ragged comb, etc.

Caution: possibly manufacturer paid reviews
August 14: it has been a month since my initial review and I am very pleased to say this is a wonderful product. I was losing my hair in spots, there were areas that just would not grow and it look and felt like fake doll hair. My hair is relaxed and it looks wondeful now, fuller, thicker and so soft and shiny. It has worked miracles for me so i highly recommend it.I can't give a review yet because I just ordered it the suggestion of my beautician but note that most of the reviews were posted on September 22, 2014 which usually indicates manufacturer paid reviews. Most reviews are posted in April, June, September and use similar verbiage so keep that in mind. I will post results in 30 days. Amazon needs to do something about these fake testimonials.
